Still no real idea what the effect does, but you do get an emote 'You feel like you should stop fighting' when you get the AE.

PH was an essence keeper for us. He wasn't leashed to spawn point that we noticed, pulled him from near top of the basement section to the very bottom by the pool. Defector's Fright was main effect used.
Casts Defector's Fright. Its not an AE, he casts it single target, but casts it simultaneously on everyone in the group except the main tank. He's also leashed to his spawn point. Spawned for me on one of the small platforms in the lower level of Light pillar.
