I waited around the area of the other cats and The Cliffstalker spawned exactly and hour after I killed it. :)

He is indeed level 29, and he also dropped a Dry Marrow, along with the Snake Spine Collar and a Blightfire Helm Pattern. He's physically a lot bigger than the young slashclaw's he hangs around with, so he's easy to spot, just like Plaguebringer and Mossback.

No others lions attacked me after I killed him, but these lions are very social so make sure you are out of the way of any wandering critters while knocking him off.

Dropped a sleeve pattern on 7/21, as did Mossback, Plaguebringer and Dragoneater. Previously, only higher level mobs like Thunderwood and Duskfall dropped this pattern. Glad it's apparently been fixed.

After killing Cliffstalker, every lion on the mountain proceeded to attack. I think they could sense that their beloved leader has fallen ... and they weren't happy.
