Never played against this thing, so just a question.
The AoE, "Shower of Gore", seems like it'd be an effect the zombie would use upon death. Is this the case, or no? If its not, does it use this effect often? How do upper end groups manage?

Well if you also think This is Demiplane, most people who are in Demiplane are about 13k unbuffed hp anyway. with full buff adding about 4k hp, having 17k hp, its not hard to survive it at max damage.

You are correct, technically it's casted by "a unstable zombie's corpse" in the casting message even.

There are no groups in Demiplan really, but if you look at the range of that AE and the fact it happens predictably it's easy to avoid.

Upon death the AE goes off, has a small AE; the CLOSER you are the MORE you get hit for... was 50 feet away or so from this thing when AE went off and only got hit for 8250, next one i was much closer ( 20-30 feet ) and got hit for 10,500; Keep away from em when they die.. other than that; just another trash mob
