The Demi-Plane of Blood is an alternate reality, a sub-plane of existence mirroring Dreadspire Keep which sprang into being as Mayong Mistmoore attemped to become a deity. It is said that some beings are able to maintain a presence in both realms, and that the whispers and shadows of the Keep find their true form here. Here, you will find death-touching gargoyles, brutish orcs, ravenous bats, maggot-ridden undead, frothing werewolves, bloody vampires, poisonous drachnids, as well as the latest addition in to demi-godhood, Mayong Mistmoore.

For an outline of this raid expedition, a listing of events in the zone, and information about negating the AE effects upon initially zoning in, click here.

Level 70 is required to enter the zone without a key or flag on the live servers. The actual flag is attained by completing the Demi-Plane of Blood key quest.

Dunno if they had a money shortage or what, but you would THINK that for the final end-zone of an entire expansion, the home of Mayong Mistmoore HIMSELF... they could have build a NEW zone, instead of just an instanced version of the exact same zone as Dreadspire, with a different-colored sky.

Pfff.

Anyway, there are quests (Listed here on Alla's) that allow you to eliminate the zone-wide AE here. They can only be completed with drops obtained inside the Demi-Plane though, so you'll have to suffer through it for a while.

The whole idea behind it is that its an alternate reality, so they couldnt exactly go changin much in Dreadspire to make the Demi-plane.

The idea came to justify being lazy? :(

Im gonna go ahead and disgree with this suggestion. I submit it takes more effort to come up with a story line (which I think is cool) about mayong mistmoore attempting to become a deity and inadvertantly creating an alternate reality then it takes to create a brand new random zone (put a mountain here, lock this door, randomly strew mobs about ....)

any way, I like the idea of an alternate reality. But then I also love the Xanth stuff by Piers Anthony about a magical realm that was the counterpart of mundanian florida.

Your an idiot, before you go talking about stuff you don't know about, why don't you look it up?

It so happens that level design is by far 1000x more difficult than story creation. Story creation takes creativity and the ability to type...THATS ALL

While level design takes both the things that story creation take PLUS lots more. Have you ever fooled around with pathing of AI? I bet you haven't, it so happens that making a mob path properly could take up to a few hours, EACH. Also keep in mind that its not as easy as saying "Oh a mountain should go there", creating that mountain can take many hours.

So to sum up, stfu and try making a level before you talk...YOUR DUMB.

I like how you insulted him by saying "Your an idiot," instead of "You're an idiot." Such satire. The way you pretended to not know proper English grammar to further mock his idiocy was brilliant. Bravo.

I don't feel that a "story line" takes more creativity than inventing the creatures, the location, the names, their political ranking (levels), ect. and then create the artwork for what they look like, what they wear, what they carry, size, making it all mobile and then doing it all again for every room, door, window, chair, brick, grass blade, ect. for everything.

Tall Bob stomped in and slammed the door to the darkend room, by the pale light leaking through the dusty shades he launched a rickety chair at the shuddering door and swore. "That B*tch!" he said, "expecting me to bang out three thousand words, when it'd be much easier to write four hundred thousand lines of code!"
Tall Bob swung his massive war hammer in quick smooth well skilled arc like a woodsman trying to commit furious murder rather than just split a chunk of wood. The glowing box from the Other World shattered sending sparks showering around the room. The hammer penetratingly connected unknowingly to an important bit inside the brutalized alien construct. Lightning flared up the hammer and turned Tall Bob into an arc of burgeoning knotted muscles, bursting into his
brain.
As Tall Bob fell to the floor his ghostly voice screamed, "Couldn't they have at least put one fuse in that damn thing?"
A voice as anciently hollow as a deep dusty sepulchral tomb spoke.
"Tall Bob," the voice intoned, "that unit was made on a friday, by people wearing 'casual clothes' no less."
"So I was dead the moment it was delivered," Tall Bob said.
The hooded cowl nodded, "you should have bought a Dell."
"C*ap," said Tall Bob.
The hooded cowl nodded again.
With a sweep the ghost of Tall Bob and the cowled figure faded from our mortal coil.

boy that was tough, i'm going to go take a nap.
