Spawned in a DZ on Oakwynd, sometime between 2 and 4 hours. We had cleared by the 2 hour mark, but people stayed around to see if the Wraith for enchanter epic would spawn. At about 4 hours, the Wraith was up, and they noticed that the broken golem was also up at the same time.
^ The above post says yes but it's random when it spawns.

I saw the broken golemn surrounded by wisps at the bootom of the bell tower, between the bell tower and Dread's temple.. FYI none of my dd's can even be cast on this guy. "Your spell did not take hold", and I'm an 85 wizard. I don't think you actually kill this guy, you just turn something in to him.
I'm actually here for the Iksar broodling, in an alt post says kill any golemn to get that mob to spawn.. maybe any golemn but this one.
I checked that place where he is supposed to spawn as well as rest of zone. Went up to multiple bell towers, and at the one where broken should be, there was Fright. Tracker confirmed TWO fright golems in zone
Had a great time on Friday night with this guy. My guild took a few people over to Fear, maybe 15 or 16. We wiped a few times before getting to the golem as it was our first time in fear, and we had to get the hang of the swarming mobs. After that we ran up to the golem as a guild and again got wiped. As this was turning out bad, and hours had gone by, we stuck to the wall and the tanks went out to see the BG. found him, and I run up and hand him the gear. And yes ... another wipe. by this point we lost about 1/5 the people in the raid, and it was ~3:00am. This is how we got him... The SK FDed at the Golems feet and FD pulled him to the Gold tower. From there we had it in the bag. A kind 65 War tanked and our 65 Clr healed. The DPS classes kicked *** and I sat down and nuked for avg 80 damage. Damn resists. Anyways. After a long night and a lot of death, I looted the oil. And Firepot was not up... Little Prick. So today he was in the dwarf camp so I poped over and finished the epic up. I am so happy now. Good Luck to the rest of you.
P.S. I had 0 problems on hand in to all NPCs. They all worked with no problems. And Phinny only took me 3 kills for the staff.
OK, now that they changed PoF for the Beserker Epic, it is a pain to go into. Here is my question....
What is a good way to know if the Golem is up in PoF? I don't want to waste my guilds time. My nephew went in their w/his druid and got crushed as soon as he zoned in !
So I want to say to the guild, "He is up !".
Any ideas?
Also, what is the spawn rate on him? Does he have a PH? IYO, what would it take to bring him down force wise?
Feedback would be awesome !!! I want to finish this!
I would suggest to hire a bard or find a bard friend to go in and see if he is up for you. Bards get track, fade, selo/invis song. I have no problem going in to fear and playing around with my bard. If you can't find a bard any FD class should work, just make sure they get a SoW or something to help them move a little faster.
With the max level at 65 now,I can duo the BG with my 65 warrior and 62 cleric, I still remember when the epics were new, bg would take out an poorly prepaired raid party. Granted, it's about a 15 minute fight that way, but heck, it was fun.
With KEI and 9, my clerics mana stayed around the 80-85% range the whole time. Only help from others was a chanter for haste, none of her other spells would stick, and a 65 wiz that was there to loot the oil for mq and the occasional nuke.
It took all 4 of us to clear to the BG, but I'm more than confident I could have done it just me and my cleric 2-boxing.
I killed the broken/enraged golem in May 2003 to get the last piece I needed for my epic. Before having the puller hand in the golem sprocket to spawn the enraged golem, I stood right over him and got his location. It is indeed neg 737, neg 105. However, I have been in fear when there were 2 broken golems up at the same time (Although I'm pretty sure this was a glitch of some kind). One was at his regular spot (the location above) and I'm not sure what the others location was because we didn't stay to get it. Apparently there is more then just one spot that the broken golem can spawn, but this is the only spot that I have personally recorded it as being, as well as others remembering it to be.
Directions: When you zone in turn right to the east (which is the opposite from before you zone through because the zone is like a mirror). Go over the first hill and then over the next one. On the north side of the hill in the flat area you will find the golem (provided that the 72 spawn period has passed). Kill, Loot, a few turn-ins and the epic is yours!
Important side note: If you are a Wizard, and began your epic weapon quest BEFORE the frog characters were added to EQ, then you need to have a GM do all the final turn-ins by proxy. I turned in the green oil and received NOTHING! I petitioned and 10 days later was told by the head GM for the Erollisi Marr server, that when they added the frogs and had to reset froglok faction, that they accidentally did something to Truespirit faction as well. Therefore a wizard can never gain enough faction to appease any of the NPC's needed to complete the quest. Also, since Shamans need the same faction to complete their epic as well, it may be that the shaman epic quest is messed up too. I have NOT confirmed the shaman epic quest bug though, so maybe a petition might be in order for Shaman's that started the epic quest before the frogs were added, just to make sure that you don't turn in the item(s) and get nothing back.
Good luck to all!

I started this quest in 2002, and then decided to play the wiz again recently, and finished this up. I had the sprocket to activate the golem, nothing else. I got the blue crystal staff, gnarled staff, and the green oil within days of each other in summer 2006. All turn ins went smoothly, the Firepot one, the one with the vendor in Halas, and Solomen. I am now the proud owner of the Staff of the Four, even if its a little late. :D
Found it. Not confirmed, haven't seen him myself. But on a long buried Forum I discovered the LOC of
-720, -100
Which seems to be roughly where the Ringing Bell Tower is on the map I am looking at. http://www.eqmaps.com/m3/fearplane2.jpg
So if this is only reason you are in Fear, West Wall camp would be best. Maybe clear out the buildings between camp and ringing bell to avoid adds, and spawn the Enraged Golem, pull, and slap him down.
Can't believe it was so hard to find this LOC in these forums. And as I said, this is not confirmed to my own satisfaction.
Respawn time on the Broken Golem is 72 hours. No more, no less. When I was doing my epic I kept an eye in PoF and asked around. He always respawned 72 hours after he was reported dead.
As far as server resets/patches/etc he seems to spawn 36 hours after (half his respawn time)
server was reset roughly 32 hours when i entered fear lastnight - i logged off in fear at southeast corner (near the imp tower) at apxly 41 hours post server going live. no golem yet.
have had a few friends say that he spawns anywhere from 24 - 72 hours after server reset. /shrug We'll see.
He's a pure-quest NPC. He's non-KoS to everyone until triggered, and is green. I believe around level 35, not sure. Conned green when I was level 52.
For the wizard epic, like the link says. You hand him a "Golem Sprocket" and he transforms into the Enraged Golem, which can also be found in the bestiary. The Enraged Golem instantly attacks whoever gave the Sprocket, and has a lot of hitpoints (again, exact info is on the Bestiary elsewhere.)
The trick to it, for any wizards trying their epic... look at the Sprocket. It isn't nodrop. Give it to your main tank and let him hand it in, and let the fun begin. Nukers, use fire-based nukes only. They will hit full the majority of the time without having to rely on the high-mana high cast-time Lures.
Spawn time is around 24-72 hours as Tehuti said, and as far as it has been observed, his spawntime is unaffected by anything in the Plane, like Cazic repopping the zone, etc.
