I kill this guy 3 or 4 times a day while running from Stonebrunt to Erudin and back and never saw him with a bat head, just the normal kobold one.

PEOPLE! STOP FLAMING SOFT WICKER!

Its not that bad, and if a level 19 or so, with NO money, wants to make a twink? What better way? Looks cool, not TOOOOOO heavy, kinda decent AC, easy kill.

Today i was runnin around the front of warrens wit my 16 war. I was uber buffed(Skin like nature, chloro, etc) when i came across this dude. he conned BLUE to me. which leads me to believe that his level is actually 15-16. Thats my 2 cp.

As much as I enjoyed the name calling debate as to why they have batheads sometimes, the ultimate point is that this boy doesn't have anything special on him - just mundain gear.

I concure. Spent a lot of time here. The soft wicker mask can also cause this effect. Sleaves or tunic will also make wings. I think its pretty cool myself

i kobold with a weapon will attack that way. If it says "hits", no weap. if it says crushes, expect a stick.. and so on for peirce and slash..

incidentally, i was there recently with a wizzy friend, and he was camping the jailer.. camp, med, time to camp, med, etc.. one day he dies like 2 or 3 times cause he cant snare the guy, 2 lessers aggro with him, and cause the jailer is interrupting him constantly.

i came to find that he 1. should have taken out one of the shamen barring mana loss (better than xp loss), and 2. that the jailer had a 22 dly dagger but was still hitting for his lvl.. i went to take him out as a sk and had trouble, so i didnt blame the poor wizzy.

This is definetly not his normal look, i've killed him maybe 10 times in the last 2 days and he never had a bat head... BUT he also never had a soft wicker cap so i can neither confirm nor deny the theory posted earlier... but it sounds like it makes sense so next cap i get is getting put back on a doggy to find out...

Are you people morons? If you guys did some investigation you would know that when the Kobolds in the Warrens have the bat head, it mean they have the Soft Wicker Cap. Same goes when they have the bat winged arms, they have the Soft Wicker Arms. Its no bug or anything, and if you dont believe me go ahead and put one of those items on one; that works.

Very often mobs in this zone will come up with a bat head and wings...Its a bug ;) So it is an authentic shot.

I thought it was a bug too, and it still may very well be a graphic bug, but if it's got a bat head it is wearing a soft wicker cap
As a side note on the cap, on Barbarians it still looks like a white polar bear head.

most likely a leather cap... the polar bear cap is the leather cap for barbarians so this would just look like a leather cap

The soft wicker also has the same stats as Rawhide armor the only difference that ive noticed in any of the soft wicker ive looted is that it looks green
