I wanna see Quellious the only god the monks can worship. I also think the AC dropping for monks is STUPID cause monks arent meant to take dmg, if we got 5k hitpoints then it wouldnt be a bad idea to lower ac
Mithaniel Marr, the Truthbringer, governs the Plane of Valor. Mithaniel is the ultimate Paladin who wears a full suit of shining silver plate armor and wields a glowing longsword. Mithaniel Marr, who owes his existence to Tarew Marr, leader of the Triumvirate of Water, is allied with Erollisi Marr and Karana. He counts Innoruuk, Cazic-Thule, and Bertoxxulous among his enemies. He has a friendly rivalry with Solusek Ro.

Dang. as if pallys didn't have cool enough swords already (fiery defender...) now they gotta have this. if it becomes a low level drop and every little newb pally is running around with an uber glowing blue sword, i may just have to drop my ranger, but until then TUNARE POWER!
This is is Mithaniel Marr if you read the mythology (and good luck now finding it, but parts of it used to be on the Sony site) the Marr twins started out as Gods for the Barbarian race long time ago. No idea when the Marrs stopped being Barbarian dieties and the Tribunal came in to replace them (the narrative didn't get that far or complete), but I would suspect it was tied into making human civilization. That is why Mith looks like a Barb Pally and not a Human.
Okay folks, here is my take on some of this god discussion. I think many of the gods in EQ are more along the lines of gods in traditional Greek, etc. fashion, and that they are "vulnerable" as a result of this. In a way, they are all "sub-gods", slightly less powerful, with only one god being invulnerable, and that is the Nameless. I believe that this is why we can attack them in-game, and raids to their realms can take place. Just my opinion, of course. On another note, all of those saying they are dwarf paladins and talking about killing their god Mith Marr (in these screenshots), I have a dwarf paladin as my main, and I believe that my only choice for a god was the Duke of Below, Brell Serilis. I may be wrong--it has been a long time since I created him, so correct me if I am (I am sure someone will). Since Mith Marr is not my dwarf's god, I can most likely raid him and get loot and it would not go against my god, but this would definitely be against all that he stands for as a paladin. Maybe VI should institute some rewards system whereby you are given some major loot item by your god for defeating an enemy god. This would reduce the need for players to attack their own god, which seems like a ridiculous concept (at least for the good races).
I am about 99.9% sure that Brell Serilis is the only deity choice for dwarven pallys (maybe all dwarves?). And I know the sword is cool, but the helm isn't shabby looking either.
WHUT??? That is NOT Rodcet Nife...Rodcet Nife looks like ET, go look it up...That is definitely Mithaniel Marr-the lightbringer...Just look at his sword =p And since most pally's do go for Mith as their Deity, then he most likely is a paladin himself.
Mithaniel Marr is the pretty-boy of the gods.. take a back street boy and put him in platemail armor, and that's how I see Mith Marr, my bet is this is Brell Serillus, because of the dwarfish build.
Hmm... I would think if you worship the guy and then kill him, Your faction just might drop a little. Kinda hard to train if you can't talk to your trainer cuz they want to KOS you. I think it is more likely that evil chars will be killing him and the loot dropping for them.
And what if you are a Preist class and kill your own diety?
I think being able to see the places is cool but I'm kind of bothered with the idea that the gods are oging be killed over and over again by large groups of mortals...just doesn't seem theologically correct.
And if the Plane of Tranqulity is the entry point for all these mortals, Quellios is gonna be REALLY unpopular with her neighbors!
My Ogre worships Ralos Zek (and why wouldn't he? Fear and hate are nothing compaired to skill and bloodlust. Disease is for the weak. Only the strong deserve to live, and only the boldest deserve to die on Ralos Zek's blade), and he looks foward to defeating his lord and master. How better to pay homage to the god of war than to entertain him with your battles, you victories, your defeats. And in the end, when there are no other worthy foes left, how better to end than impailed by your own god? Or better yet, to win. Even Ralos Zek should be pleased to see such a mighty follower that could best him in battle. I'll pit my army against Ralos Zek's army any day...it would be...glorious...
Incase you haven't noticed we have been killing gods in this game since the 1st ever Uber guild. Inny, Cazic are both Gods, allbeit that they are the "SK gods" & considered chumps compared to the likes of Tunare & Bris Bane; They are still gods. Not only do i want to see & participate in the many deaths of the new gods, but as a Cazic thule Worrishiping Lizard (SK) I want to see some upgrades in loot & difficulty to Inny & Cazic Thule so that they are just as Viable of a target to any guild. Good Luck all & happy hunting!

Seriosuly though, this didn't start bugging me until I realized MY dieties (the Tribunal) were going to be open for attack. I freely admit to bias on that part.
I posted in another area about an idea I had. When your god gets attacked, a ressurection/translocation-style window pops up saying "<insert diety's name here> is calling the faithful in <his/her/their> defense. Do you accept YES/NO>". Then you would have the option of being teleported to you god's side and defend them against the attackers in PvP mode.
Apparently people don't like this dea, because my post got rated down really fast, but since traditionally in roleplaying the gods' power depends a lot on the number and quality of their worshippers, I think this fits. Also, it would make the gods almost impossible to kill (unless they didn't have many followers), which is kind of appropriate.
For example, you decide to kill Solusek Ro, and suddenly wizards start appearing. Player wizards. ANGRY player wizards...nuking YOU!
And this would give you a chance to defend your icky, oft-killed gods of hate and fear too :)
I think it would make religion MUCH more relevant and the game much more interesting.
i agree with you, but you'd have to solo him for you to deserve to be god and sit in your plane all day long until a raid kills you then wait a rl week to respawn.... ayep
