Actually, for the achievement you dont even need this zone. Zones that are indented on the lists are not mandatory to complete the explorer achievement. This zone is indented under Miragul's nightmare traveler in the listing for explorer of the expac. You do NOT have to have it to finish the House of Thule Achievement Explorer.
Kind of like in VoA going for explorer, you dont need east and west Sepulcher of Order.

doing journeymans speed. so i have to visit everywhere. im using the zone guide to get to places. however, i dont see Miagul's phlactery. is there a map of this zone? i have other zones to visit that are not listed in the zone guide. so as i try to complete this achievement how do i find these zones. ty
This is a raid-only instance, so you would need to be in a full group and have someone who has the flags necessary to request the raid. An NPC named "Sig" in Miragul's Nightmare gives the raid (there is more information in the link in the zone description above).
so the bottom line is, in order to complete and get the Journeyman's Compass, you have to gather a group and raid these places?

You don't need to raid it, just zone in to get the achievement.
