Tasarin's Grimore Pg26 Left and Pg26 Right. Trivial is 21, but if your skill is in that range expect to get failed combines. It has been a very long time since I hunted for these pages, but I recall finding one side in Highpass from gnolls or orcs (I don't recall exactly) and the other page I believe in Field of Bone or Kurn's Tower (once again, 4 years ago IS a long time to remember). The drop info I have access to says "Zones to numerous to list", but there you have my best guess.

I found several copies of both of these while farming wolf, cat, and bear pelts in North Karana. Also pretty sure I had them drop in Unrest back in the day.

I have found a lot of pg.223 (levitate) pg.24 (Disempower)and most importantly pg.26 (Mez) in Kurns tower, they drop off of the Skellies there and the Burnyl mobs in the basment mostly. I have stacks of both sides of the pages saved up for my chanter when he gets to 16. Its a great place to lvl up younger toons as well as collect these pages. Hope this helps, 650 plat is way to much for this poor EQ player to pay :)

I was able to find the pages on vendors fairly easily and eventually I made about 4 copies. The left page is considerably rarer than the right one, imho. I am on Venril Sathir server and I still have one copy.
However, I discovered one big problem with this spell while adventuring in LDoN. We had a pull of about 5 creatures who were beating up on our tank and instead of cycling through each one to mez them singly since I felt it would take too long and the tank was going down quickly, I cast mesmerization with the area mez. Unbeknownst to me, there was a chest/trap/box I couldn't see nearby and the area mez set off the trap which poisoned everyone in our group and we all eventually died. Furthermore, the trap exploding negated the area mez so the Mob's kept hitting on us. So, if possible in LDoN - at least - consider trying to cycle through the Mobs and avoid area mez unless you are in dire straits or you know with reasonable certainty that no trap/chest/box is present nearby.

Spell parts for this spell drop regularly on Gorge Hounds in East Karanas. Farm there or check the npc merchants in the farmhouse in EK.

I have been having a hard time finding the grimoire pages to combine for the spell, I keep on trying, just hope that the spell is worth it. My lvl 19 enchanter is on lany's.

I don't play an enchanter much at all.. created mine a couple of years ago, and have left him collecting dust... anyway, this morning I woke up early and had some time before work, so I figure, alright, I'll log on my chanter...

I load him up and realize he doesn't have all his level 16 spells, so I run to the bazaar.

This spell alone was 650pp, and I see someone else said they see it for 2k. All I gotta say is WOW. That's pretty expensive for a level 16 spell no? So tell me, is this spell still useful up to the 50s?

The spell is useful to 55, when you get the upgraded aoe mez.

However, the people pricing it for 650pp, are being ridiculous. The research components for this spell are not uncommon. I found them on a merchant in PoK, and had a higher level chanter in my guild combine, since my chanter has pretty low research skill.

Total cost, about 3pp or so.

eqtraders.com has the recipe for this spell.

That's what I thought too.. then when looking for the pages in the bazaar, even the pages for this spell were being sold for 200-300pp. I can't see it as being that uncommon... I did however, just cave, and bought the spell for 650pp as I didn't want to risk a failed combine. I do have high research skill, but I didn't want to take the risk.

Don't try to buy the pages in Bazaar, merchant dive for them. I found all mine in about 10 minutes on merchants in PoK.

No this spell is an AE spell it effects multiple targets at one time... Warning if you cast it too close it will mez you too and it only lasts 4 ticks... so practice in a newbie zone first... Great Spell!

1. Highhold pass/keep.
2. Lake of Ill Omen
3. Fironia Vie
4. Shadowhaven
5. If all else fails - Bazaar.

These should also drop off mobs in Kurn's Tower and the swamp of no hope that are between level 15 and 19.

On Stormhammer, this spells sells for 2k pp so it is worth researching!!
