This quest was apparently removed at some point.

Kobot Dellin runs from Guard tower 2 to the West Karanas / Qeynos hills Zone and back. If you give him a plains pebble, he then asks if you will do a [favor] for him. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to respond after that, so this may be broken.

Need all dialogues, faction hits if any, rewards if any, /loc of spawn for Kobot Dellin, additional information required to complete quest.

Kobot Dellin no longer takes plains pebbles, so they must have purged this incomplete quest at some point in the past.

Looks like a broken database link, or incomplete quest.

Hmm, spent some time looking at this and I think the quest has simply been removed. I looked at the data for Kobot and don't see any quests attached to him. Moreover I tried giving him a plains pebble and nothing. Even an imbued plains pebble didn't do anything. I think this quest is essentially KIA. Sorry.

Requires a "Plains Pebble" to cast. This spell can only be scribed and cast by followers of Karana.

as of Nov 8, 2003, the plains pebbles are not no drop. the inmbue plains pebble spell is restricted to followers of karana... just to clear up any confusion for people new to the discussion.
foraging skill

Some items use to require a foraging skill of 100 but that was taken out before luvlin came out. Anyone who can forage can find these.

p pebbles?
# Oct 03 2002 at 11:11 AM Rating: Decent
the spells can be used by anyone, and the plains pebbles, when foreged, are not no drop and can be traded to anyone, the items made from them are restricted to deity
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 22 2002 at 7:44 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OK, people we get the point that the p. pebbles are not nodrop anymore and that anyone can imbue them, but WHAT IS THE FAVOR THE GUY WANTS IN THIS QUESTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do then Say

Ok... to those nay sayers regarding the inability of a Cleric or Druid not following Tunare to imbue plains pebbles... Pebbledash! I have a Cleric that does not follow Tunare, indeed, he follows Rodect Nife. He has both scribed the spell and imbued the plains pebble. My enchanter has used them to make earings that give decrease to sta (-2 I belive) and increase in wis and str. As far as its ability to decrease consumption of food and water, the jury is still out on that one. My experience so far is that I do seem to make fewer stops for food and water when I keep one in a main inventory slot. This could be a percieved thing as I have not really spent the time to verify it. So, Clerics and Druids, get as many of the imbue spells as you can and scribe them before it changes. Oh, and the item made with the imbued gem DOES require you to follow the specific deity in order to equip it.

I used to just destriy them until my mid 20's when the reduction in food and water consumption was pointed out to me by a guildie. I carried one for the next few levels (not imbued) and i can stat without a doubt that there is a significant reduction in my food and water consumption - particularly water

Is it just the plains pebble or the imbued plains pebble that reduces food consumption?

If you scribed the spell before they patched it, you can still cast it, but you cannot scribe the imbue gem spells for other deities any more. Unfortunately :(

Well the two I got in South Karana were No Drop and blue, being a SK I just can't see the point of this quest so I destroyed both of them

First; if at one time the plains pebbles were no-drop, this is no longer the case.
Second; any druid can imbue them, whether a follower of Karana, OR Tunare. I have 2 full stacks foraged by my ranger of Tunare, and Imbued by a guild brother, who is a Druid of Tunare.
Hope this helps clear up some of the questions.

I'm afraid it's not possible for your guildmate to be a druid of Tunare and imbue the plains pebbles. Druids who do not worship Karana simply cannot scribe the Imbue Plains Pebble spell in their spellbooks, in the same way that non-woshipers of Tunare can't scribe the Tunarian imbue (for Sapphires).

I know; I've tried, and the game wouldn't let me.

Yep, at least for now - any druid can scribe the emerald and plains pebble imbuement spells. Same goes for the cleric and shaman ones - there is nothing that prevents it. I am a druid of Karana and I have both in my spell book.

If you are a Druid of Tunare and you can Imbue Plains Pebbles then you must have scribed the spell "before" they patched it. I am a Druid of Tunare, but did not purchase Imbue Plains Pebble for quite some time as I had no use for it. Then a few months ago I decided to finally get it. Sat down to scribe it and wouldn't let me. I looked at the writing in the scroll and at the bottom it now reads...Diety: Karana. I have a guildmate who is also a Druid Of Tunare, but she purchased the spell long ago and scribed it in her spellbook, and has no problem imbueing plains pebbles. I'm quite irritated at myself for not getting the dern thing when I first could have, but unless somethings changed today...a druid of Tunare cannot scribe the spell. If you already have it in ur spellbook, then yes...u can.

Your forage does not have to be 100 or greater. Last night, 11/13/01 I foraged one up with a 55 lvl forage on my lvl 11 Ranger of Karana.

I have a druid and an enchanter i was wondering what kind of jewelery you can make from an imbued plains pebble
RE:
# Mar 03 2002 at 2:22 PM Rating: Decent
I gave my enchanter a few of these, and it is a -sta +wis +str or something like that...cannot remember completely, oh, and only those following Karana can use them.
The facts.
# Aug 18 2001 at 7:17 PM Rating: Decent
Where to get them: Plains pebbles are foraged in WK, NK, EK, and SK by rangers/druids with Forage skill above 100, or any Iksar. They are not lore, no-drop, magic, or stackable. They are not ground spawns. Any you find on the ground indicate there is an irritated druid or ranger nearby. =)

Imbuing: Imbue Plains Pebble can be cast by druids of Karana. It removes a regular Plains Pebble from your inventory and puts an Imbued Plains Pebble (Magic and stackable) on your cursor. Imbued plains pebbles are used in jewelry, wood elf cultural tailoring and smithing, and halfling cultural tailoring. Info on imbued tradeskill items can be found at http://www.eqtraders.com

Skill in forage affects odds of getting a forage, not what you get (there may be exceptions, I know of none, and this is not one of them if there are).
RE: The facts.
# Jun 10 2002 at 1:36 PM Rating: Decent
I believe anyone with foraging skill, regardless of level may forage these, given my Bard forages them regularly & Bards forage skill cap is 50.

Also, any Druid may Imbue them, regardless of Deity. My Druid follows Tunare & has imbued stack of them.

Just my little FYI ;)
RE: The facts.
# Jan 05 2002 at 6:56 AM Rating: Default
The fact is you do not need to obtain ANY lvl of foraging. They can be foraged as soon as you learn the forage skill. How do I know? Try a lvl 5 Ranger with MAYBE a lvl 20 Foraging skill.

WELL HERE IS WHAT I KNOW ... there is a druid spell lvl 29 that does imbue the pebbles for i have done 3 of them ( am lvl 50 druid on fennin) and they are a required componant of both armor and weapons so dont ague about it as for quests i would rather sell them to tailors for 100 pp or smiths for the same price
RE: HMMM
# Jul 20 2002 at 7:21 AM Rating: Default
Ok i want to know who you are selling these to for 100pp????
No merchant i know will buy them. I have tryed in alot of cities to every merchant and no one will buy them.

You sell them (and anything good, from spiderling silks to pelts to good weapons) to players, not merchants.
Players want the pebble so they can make racial armor, which is worth a lot of money for the.
No merchant anywhere ever pays anything much for items.
