This is a group mission that begins with Kilithyr in the aqueduct area (findable with CTRL+F). He is at 1520, 50, 143. To get to this area, you can jump down the well in the very far northeastern part of the zone or use one of the four portals scattered throughout the zone. For mapped locations, see the image on this NPC entry. Pre-Requisites: - Level 85 - Completion of The Return of King Xorbb You say, 'Hail, Kilithyr' Kilithyr says 'Your [assault] on the tower has exposed some awful truths surrounding our city. Many of our strongest allies have proved to be figments of a twisted mind, failing to exist now that Vyzh`dra's grasp on this world has been weakened. The Shissar tyrant has sought refuge amongst his supporters in the arena. It is there that you must [defeat] him, so our [scars] will not be in vain.' You say, 'Defeat him?' Kilithyr says 'Entering the arena alone is unwise. Vyzh`dra will likely have a line of champions, ready to fight in his place. You'd be wise to take a [group] of allies with you, or assemble a [raid] party.' You say, 'I have a group' Kilithyr says 'You might want to take some time to prepare for battle. Most that [enter] the arena never leave. Remember that you are not just battling to overcome your opponent; you are fighting for the favor of the audience. Let me know when you are ready and I will meet you below the arena.' You have been assigned the task 'Champions of the People'. Enter the Chelsith arena and defeat Vyzh`dra's minions to become champions of the people! You say, 'Enter!' Kilithyr says 'Fight for the resistance, Champion _____!' LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... You have entered Chelsith Reborn. Inside the zone, you find Kilithyr, who will send you "back" if you wish: You say, 'Hail, Kilithyr' Kilithyr says 'If you're not ready to face Vyzh`dra, you can always turn [back].' The resistance leader looks you over, 'It wouldn't hurt to take a little more time to prepare.' Emotes As the tension builds, a frightened slave prepares to fight or flee. --- In 5 seconds, either she will go unaggro and retreat to another part of the arena, or she will cast a damage shield on herself. The crowd boos. They think the fight is going too fast! --- Stop damaging the named (can do no more than 3% damage before a fail check). The crowd boos. They want to see more damage done to _____! --- You need to do at least 5% more damage to the named mob. The crowd in the southwest section boos. They want the action brought closer! --- Move the named to the southwest quadrant of the arena. The crowd in the southeast section boos. They want the action brought closer! --- Move the named to the southeast quadrant of the arena. The crowd in the northwest section boos. They want the action brought closer! --- Move the named to the northwest quadrant of the arena. The crowd in the northeast section boos. They want the action brought closer! --- Move the named to the northeast quadrant of the arena. Kilsev begins to focus his rage. --- Kilsev the Brute gains a frontal damage aura (tank should kite Kilsev the Brute for about 10 seconds). Vyzh`dra draws power from the crowd's energy. --- In 11 seconds, Vyzh`dra will cast the AE "Champion's Rage": The closer to him you stand, the more damage you take. The crowd cheers! --- Success emote. (AE 10,000 hp/mana regeneration) The crowd becomes hostile and continues to boo. --- Fail emote. (AE nuke for 60,000) Summary - Enter the arena. - Either leave the frightened slave alive (don't engage) or kill her. --- During this phase, she "fights" or "flees" (see above section). --- You have crowd DPS emotes to follow. - Slave Driver Sedros + 2x "a slave". --- Slaves are mezzable and stunnable. --- Sedros has random single-target charm. --- Sedros has random 40' range targeted AE "Fling". --- You have crowd DPS emotes to follow. --- You have directional emotes to follow. - Kilsev the Brute (no adds). --- Every 70-85 seconds, emotes about focusing his rage (kite him for about 10 seconds when you see it). --- You have crowd DPS emotes to follow. --- You have directional emotes to follow. - Vyzh`dra the Godslayer + 2x "a tiger". --- Every 55 seconds, emotes about drawing energy from the crowd (back away from him until this AE goes off). --- You have crowd DPS emotes to follow. --- You have directional emotes to follow. Enter the arena where Vyzh`dra awaits 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) Once your group is ready, make yourself up the spiral ramp and into the arena: Vyzh`dra gestures to the eager audience upon your arrival, 'My fellow Shissar, the moment you have been waiting for is upon us. Please draw your attention to the center of the arena where a group of challengers will be fighting until the death for your entertainment.' Vyzh`dra continues, 'I encourage each and every one of you to do more than just sit in the stands. Shout for your favorite champion, applaud carniage and bloodshead, Your cheers and jeers will decide how this battle plays out.' Vyzh`dra concludes, 'Without further ado, I present the first fight: our group of challengers against a high elf slave. Let the game's begin.' Kill the frightened slave, as Vyzh`dra commands 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) You can either kill the slave, or spare her life; however, if you spare her, the remaining encounters will be more difficult. a frightened slave sobs, 'I don't want to die.' a frightened slave pleads with tears in her eyes, 'Please don't make me fight!' During this particular fight, "a frightened slave" emotes about either fighting or fleeing. Shortly after this emote, either she will stay in place and put a damage shield on herself ("Courage"), or she will flee to a different part of the arena (mem blurring herself in the process): Courage: Self 0', Unresistable (0) 1: Increase ATK by 1500 2: Increase AC by 450 3: Increase Attack Speed by 50% 4: Increase Damage Shield by 1000 Kill the frightened slave to spawn the next named. Note: If you leave the slave alive, you will soon see this emote, signaling the spawn of the next named. Vyzh`dra shouts from his seat overlooking the arena, 'Enough of this pacifism! If you won't spill the blood of an elf slave, then your blood will be spilled instead! Sedros, prepare for battle!' Defeat the first challenger, Slave Driver Sedros 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) He comes with 2x "a slave" adds (mezzable); casts "Whip" (random targeted AE fling to his location); and casts "Enslave" (random single-target charm): Whip: Targeted AE 40', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 46750 2: Pull target towards caster (4) Enslave: Single Target, Unresistable (-950) 1: Charm up to level 200 If you fail an emote during this fight, Sedros powers up and an additional slave spawns. Kill Sedros to spawn the next named. Defeat the second challenger, Kilsev the Brute 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) Kilsev doesn't come with any adds. During this fight, he'll emote about focusing his rage. After a short delay, he gains a short-term frontal damage aura, "Rage": Rage: Single Target, Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 41650 2: Stun (1.50 sec) The tank should kite him around for about 10 seconds to avoid damage. Failure to follow crowd emotes during this fight powers up Kilsev. Kill Kilsev to spawn the final named. Defeat Vyzh`dra to become a champion of the people! 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) Vyzh`dra comes with 2x "a tiger" adds (mezzable). During this fight, you will want to stand within 50' range of him, otherwise you get hit with "Call Forth the Coward" (a nuke+fling to his location, an automatic cast on anyone outside 50' range of him): Call Forth the Coward: Single Target, Unresistable (0) 1: Pull target towards caster (4) 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 65450 During the fight, he emotes about drawing energy from the crowd. When this emote goes off, Vyzh`dra becomes permanently rooted and stops summoning. Everyone should back far away from him until he casts his AE (the closer you are to him when the AE goes off, the more damage you take). Champion's Rage: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 46750 Once the above AE goes off, you have only a few seconds to get back within 50' range to avoid the "Coward" punishment effect. Kill Vyzh`dra to update this step. Vyzh`dra the Godslayer has been slain by _____! Claim your reward from the Champions Chest 0/1 (Chelsith Reborn) You bested Vyzh`dra and all of his minions in the Chelstih Reborn arena to become a champion of the people! Did this at 105 just ignored everything and tank/spanked for a fairly easy win. Killed any adds first.
