Bandit Spectacles  

Cannot get the text NOR turn in spectacles until your are amiable at least with Knights of Thunder.

If you are hunting for sashes, you need to kill raiders in SK, which, by the way is how an shadowknight friend of mine is now allied in Qeynos. All my friends who do the spectacles get them in EK for faster drop. However, you can get both of these of all other raiders and bandits with a lot of patients in the other two zones, cause I have picked them up at lower levels and I wasnt in EK or SK.

I know for a fact that they still drop (at least on Fennin Ro) and I have gotten them twice from the same female bandit each time I've been there. I did not know what quest they were for so I just destroyed them and the key that dropped at the same time. It was the bandit camp on the northern edge of the EK zone. I was just wiping them out for faction so I couldn't care less. I hope this helps someone. I can't vouch for it being rare since 100% of the times I've killed her, she's had the spectacle and key.

Spectacles do still drop, I got one today, though I wasn't looking for it and didn't pay attention to which bandit dropped it. If they are as rare as they sound, I think I'll skip this quest.

Working the spiders in the area and like to clear the bandit camp for slim chance at faction boost in East Karanas. I'm a 20th level troll SK and as long as all the bandits don't pop casters it's not too bad taking them on.

The named bandit is still blue to me at 20th although he *only* drops the staff peice and the key for an apparently broken quest.

There's also a barbarian in ring armor called a brigand - he's also blue to me right now - seems to pop a bit less frequently than the dervish thugs - hits harder though - had a bronze club first time I met him.

I've gotten one sash so far off of a male bandit that looked like a monk. Got one spectacle off of one of the red heads - don't remember if she was casting or melee though.

For the record (maybe I got lucky) I've killed maybe 30 or so bandits 50 at the very most.

As a side note, atleast in EK, the female half elves seem to consitantly be druids while the red heads are primarily whatever caster class gets the damage sheilds - I take no more than 10 points per hit off of them. The half elf druids sometimes have a thorn line DS on as well - didn't pay attention to damage though - they die *real* quick.

I too had killed a Bazillon bandits for the faction they give, but rarely in East Karana. Yesterday i did clear out the bandit camp in EK and did find a spectacle, but the funny thing was that it droped off the female human with the red hair, that bandit is always a monk type fighter in other zones but this one cast a lightning type spell. Just thought that was interesting.

Judging by the posts here and the fact that I have personally killed (according to my logfile) 3979 bandits (all in wk) i would assume that specs only drop in ek. Though I cannot comment on nk/sk bandits.
