Ok take the mail to freeport the the selicity girl and then go to the guy and tell him you want to take mail from freeport to kelethin....When you get the mail from him and you are heading to kelethin attack a guard.....this will lead to you dying but you will spawn in kelethin so you dont have to waste your time walking back...NOTE!!!! DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE LEVEL 10 OR HIGHER OR YOU WILL HAVE TO GET YOUR STUFF AND YOU WILL LOSE EXP!!!

Ok, some clairifications here. All the info listed in the messages is wrong.

Here is what you do to get some good xp, good gold, with out traveling the entire world.

Here is what you do.
Talk to Idia and get the mail bag that goes to Freeport. BTW, that bag goes to Felisity. Run to the PoK book near Kelethin, once in PoK, run to the Freeport book. When you get to FP, run to the Bards guild and deliver the bag to Felisity. She generally gives about 12gp. Turn around and pick up a mail bag from Ton. You have a choice, either Kelethin or Highhold Pass. Just take the Kelethin bag and go back to K. See what you do here? Just bounce back and forth between the two. Generally you will get a total of 21 gold for each round trip. At level 5 I am still getting about 9% to 10% increase on my XP for each round trip. I have earned enough money for all my spells and some decent leather armour to boot. So, do this if you are board or just don't want to fight. If you really want a complicated mail route, include Felwithe, Kaladim, and Ak' Anon as pick up points. These three places all have letters that go to Kelethin. Just remember this, doing the complecated route will take you about 25 to 30 minutes for a round trip using PoK Books. I think it is about 10 minutes with the Kelethin/Freeport bounce.

Ack! Forgot to mention a bouns.

Build up your faction with the bards. As it goes higher, you will get better prices from the bards on selling stuff rather then the general merchant.

Hi all. Just a friendly reminder to all the lower-level players doing this quest over and over: Ring of Scale is the Kunark Dragon faction. You may want to be a bit careful with that...

30 levels from now, when you port into the Dreadlands (Kunark's most popular port-in point) and are running to Firiona Vie, you might just see Gorenaire wandering around.

The solution is of course to gain a few levels in Mistmoore later on, which really isnt a bad thing at all. Everything is Mistmoore gives +Ring of Scale. Just consider this a heads-up.

Well being KoS to gorenair can be a problem if you don't keep your eyes open, however hunting for red and white scales can reduce your ring of scale as does hunting for Eldric the Old, and I also believe Phurzicon(sp?) does as well. Bards are just doomed when it comes to Ring of Scale Faction. But I still like the Idea of hunting in Charsis to raise Mistmoore faction.

When you start going up in lvls you will hardly see the Ring of Scale dragons, you will see Gore in DL, but other than that, most people see the Ring of Scale as something not worth the time. After a bit it is Claws of Veeshan all the way, why? Because of the good gear you can get in Halls of Testing. And since you cannot have good faction with both of them, most choose COV faction, cause it gives them the most benefits.

more gold for your travels

Instead of traveling all the way to Freeport, I discovered this little "cheat" with my dwarf.....

1) Go to Kaladim, when you zone into the city, take the left tunnel at the "T". You will end up at the Wood Elf Bard. His note goes to Kelethin.

2) Now, run to Felwithe. When you cross the bridge into the city, take the right path. As it turns the corner into the city, behold! Another Wood Elf Bard with a note to be taken to Kelethin!

3) Run both letters to Webdancer at the Bard guild in Kelethin. Hand him one letter at a time. You gain to handfulls of gold! Woo Hoo!

Not to mention, some of the critters you may find along the way, just so happens to drop items you may need on any other quests you may doing. =)

How can a low level SK rise faction with these bard, since many of these bard are just inside citys and are KOS to evils. dispite thte fact that you can gain faction with city guard easyly, but these bard are PISSing me off.
HINT: if you need to get past one, get a player to Hail them non stop and then speed past.

ps: to low to fight at MM

what do you respond to get the letter
RE: what to say
# Mar 27 2001 at 7:11 PM Rating: Default
Once u have the letter, there is no response necessary. To get the letter, hail the Bard and respond to his key phrases in parentheses.
RE: what to say

just say i will deliver mail to (city)

a side note: unless you're absolutely desperate for money it's a complete waste of time
Not Felicity

Deliver it to Ton, delivering to Felicity doesn't seem to work.

I traveled to Freeport twice delivering Idia's bag of mail to Felicity Starbright, because I didn't believe it didn't work the first time. However the mail bag off Ton Twostring back to Idia did work.
I also colect mail off the wood elf in Kaladim just inside the left hand entrance, and the woman (half elf I think) on the right as you enter the port, and the woodelf just inside Felwithes on the right hand entrance into the city, and give them to Jakum webdancer who is in the bard guild as well as Idia.
Its good experience if you can about without being killed.
