Pintanus #1: Remnants of a Lost Civilization

This task begins with Archarcanist Pintanus in Katta Castrum.
Note: In order to request this task, you must have completed up to and including the fifth task in the arc for Solteris access, "Confront Emperor Vaakiszh" (which gives you access to the Silyssar zone). You say, 'Hail Archarcanist Pintanus' Archarcanist Pintanus is looking at some small pieces of broken pottery through a magnifying glass as you approach. He turns towards you, still looking through the magnifying glass and jumps back, startled. 'Ahh! Oh sorry, Mordainn. I didn't see you there. I was just examining these [artifacts]. Are you perhaps looking for [work]?' You say, 'Artifacts?' Archarcanist Pintanus says 'Yes, artifacts. That's what I just said! No need to repeat me! The artifacts I have are from the Silyssar habitat, and they're quite old. If only I could get my hands on some [more] of them I might be able to learn some lost secrets.' You say, 'More?' You have been assigned the task 'Remnants of a Lost Civilization'. Archarcanist Pintanus wants you the explore Silyssar in search of remnants of the civilization that once thrived there. Collect several samples and return them to him. Collect shissar artifacts 0/5 (Silyssar, New Chelsith) Enter Silyssar via the cave in Zhisza. You must have completed "Confront Emperor Zaarisz" in order to access the zone. The rubble piles are found not far out from the zone-in cave (one known location: 1130, -145). There are several other rubble piles near there as well. They are found in or around the ruins in the area. Upon killing a rubble pile in Silyssar, you receive a Shissar Artifact on your cursor. Collect five of those to complete the task. Upon turn-in: Archarchanist Pintanus says, 'These are perfect! I'm sure to further my research with these fine speciments. Thank you! Some of these objects show signs of acid wear, did you encounter any creatures that might be responsible? I've heard rumors of strange [ooze] creatures and befouled [elementals] in that area.' Your faction standing with Combine Empire Merchants got better. You have successfully been granted your reward for: Remnants of a Lost Civilization Reward: Smudged Pottery Fragment This opens up the next task in the series, "Remnants of a Lost Civilization II". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Solteris Access #5: Confront Emperor Vaakiszh is a prerequisite to receiving this task, as well as the other Silyssar tasks. Without it, he only says "I'm sorry, what did you say?"

Where - how u find the pile of rubble to complete Lost Civilization -- wandering necro
Greetings! We started finding these not far from the cave entrance near the zone in. One location we used is +1128 x -145. There are several other rubble piles near there as well. All that we saw were located in or around the broken buildings.

Also to add: The mob does not appear on trackng and the respawn time is five minutes.

You do this quest by destroying the piles of rubble on the ground in Silyssar (I hadn't done the quest yet when I submitted it). When you destroy the pile of rubble a Shissar Artifact will appear on your cursor. Destroy 5 piles of rubble and you win and get a pottery shard (forget which one, I'll check later).

Got a Smugded Pottery Fragment after completing this task. The next task he gives is Remnants of a Lost Civilization II. Kill 10 elementals and 10 goos, collect 5 Artifact Shards off mobs killed. Haven't completed this task yet. The key word for this task was "fragments"
