You say, 'Hail, Blixkin Entopop'
Blixkin Entopop says 'Hail, Yatri! My name is Blixkin Entopop. Have you seen the wonderful assortment of [spiders] and [beetles] that inhabit the thicket? I have quite an extensive [bug collection]. Be careful, though. I have seen many brave halflings fall beneath a [swarm] of clicking and hissing bugs.'
You say, 'Tell me about your collection.'
Blixkin Entopop says 'I collect all kinds of bugs but most of the ones I have are dead. [Ember] is the only exception. I just like them for their pretty colors and I admire how loyal they are to each other. If you want to, you can help me complete my collection and I will reward you for your time. Here is a list of the bug parts I need for my collection. If you [don't have a bug collection box] to collect the bug parts in, just ask me for one. I think I have some extras.'
You say, 'I don't have a box.'
Blixkin Entopop says 'Here you go. Just follow the instructions on the [list] so you know what to collect and how to prepare the collection for me.'

Give Blixkin Entopop the Complete Bug Collection and the list he gives you (if you need another, ask him for a list).

Blixkin Entopop says 'Oh you have a complete collection for me?! Good! Good! Well done. But remember that I need the complete bug collection and you must return my want list before I can pay you.'
Blixkin Entopop says 'Excellent! Good work! I knew you were the one for this job! Thank you so much! My collection just gets better and better each day. Here is your reward as I promised.'
Your faction standing with Merchants of Rivervale got better.
Your faction standing with Deeppockets got better.
Your faction standing with Guardians of the Vale got better.
Your faction standing with Mayor Gubbin got better.
Your faction standing with Coalition of Tradefolk Underground got worse.
You gain experience!!
You receive 7 silver from Blixkin Entopop.
You receive 4 gold from Blixkin Entopop.

So here is an update:

Find Blixkin Entopop in Misty Thicket (He wanders, its best to get a tracker)
Say "May i have a bug collection box?" he will give you the box. Say "What list?" and he should give you a list.

You will need
1) Fire Beetle Eye (Drops in zone)
1) Spiderling Eye (Drops in zone)
1) Spiderling Silk(Drops in zone)
1) Giant Fire Beetle Leg (This does not drop in Misty Thicket-Best to go to W. Karana)
1) Giant Wasp Wing (Drops off Large Yellow Jackets-Didn't see it drop off the giant ones-Or you can go to Stone hive or Blightfire moore)
1) Giant Scarab Egg Sack (Drops in zone-but takes forever.)

All items have charges or doses...that ticked me off.

It took a few tries, but he finally gave me the list and the box when I asked "May I see your bug collection, please?"

Oh, ando n turn-in, remember to give him both thebox and the list he gave you.

Only got the poison pot, alas. I'll hve to try it again and see if I can get anything better.

do yellow jakets still spawn im a ranger with 180 trak skill havent seen one in 2 hours

I have spent several hours doing this quest. Here is what I have found:

- Most of the quest items are pretty easy to find, with the exception of the Giant Wasp Wing.
See the other posts for lost of useful tips on where to get the various quest items.

- The Giant Wasp Wings are definitely the most time-consuming items to find. I have tried to get them in Misty Thicket, Greater Faydark and Lesser Faydark. I have only ever found them in Misty Thicket. Sometimes you will find them on vendors in Misty Thicket or Rivervale, for a few gold pieces.

- Giant Wasp Wings are NOT the same as Wasp Wings. Wasp Wings are very easy to get and are stackable. Giant Wasp Wings are not stackable; their icon looks distinctly different from the normal Wasp Wing (a much larger wing in the icon than the normal kind). If you don't see the words Giant Wasp Wing it will not work as one of the items on the List. The List clearly says Giant Wasp Wings, but some of the web-pages omit the word "Giant". Don't be misled by web pages that say just "Wasp Wings" -- the plain old Wasp Wing won't do. Follow the List from Blixkin Entopop to the letter and it will work.

- I have only managed to loot Giant Wasp Wings off of the Large Yellowjackets, and usually only 1 out of 4 or 5 times. They don't seem to drop off of the Giant Yellowjackets that are on the "oustide" of the Wall -- only from the Large Yellowjackets on the "inside" of the wall. I have killed lots of Giant Yellowjackets and never looted a single Giant Wasp Wing from them.

In truth, if you have the money, you can do this quest at level 1. All you have to do is buy all the peices from vendors. People are constantly looting the ingrediants and selling them. If you can't find the giant fire beetle legs NO FEAR!! head to the common lands! You can easily buy the legs from a merchant GAREENTEED!

PS:
Last time I did the quest he returned the box after giving me teh poisen. I was able to do it TWICE!!! Sweet!

You have to hail him and say "give me a bug collection box" then say " what list" in order to get the box and list, otherwise you'll get the runaround. Once you have all the items press combine and then give him BOTH the combined bug box and list for the quest reward.My ranger got the silver bracelet this time, so the quest IS working, just a little messed up.

well actually ive gotten the poisen warding vale and it wasnt a lore,is it just me or is it that when u dont need the item it drops commenly,but when u absolutely need it u dont find it for a week,well thats eq for ya,or maybe than again life

Lately most RV/Misty quests are having problems with wording. To do this quest you will need to say "I wish to see the bug collection." or "I will gather bugs for the bug collection." If those do not work try different other wordings. If it is still having problems send a petition to a GM or send a bug report (Quests may vary on different servers), they probably can help. I have done this quest recently. QUESTS ARE NOT BROKEN, unless an item or NPC is no longer avaliable (In this case, as long as Blixkin talks about the bug collection, it is possible to do).

looking for others to comfirm this but the rewards for this have changed best i can figure. I did this quest about 6 times in a row and i only got the two braclets i dont think the other rewards are given any more. On Brell if that makes a differance to anyone

The wings DO drop off the YJs in misty, but the drop rate was majorly NERFED! the spawn rate was too. (I would tell you what time of day I've seen them spawning, but then I wouldn't have the spawn to myself /grins evilly) usually they pop in the morning (game time) but is very rare spawn unless LOTS of others in nembie part of zone hunting random spawning low level stuff.
The other parts of quest are fairly simple, the legs coming from karana-ese scythe, pincer, and borer beetles.

The new yellow jackets DO drop giant wasp wings FYI. Got one in Misty Thicket a little less painfully - hint - find a ranger to track them for you!
