Some of these may be 45, but I saw several that were yellow on my 46 Ranger. Just FYI.

Rogue Style Mob: Casts Invis and Backstabs
Procs a hard to resist cold based DoT called Deadly Velium Poison which cannot be cured by any spells and does 30hp/tick damage for 2 minutes(600HP total). It has been mentioned that the AA ability Radiant Cure 1 will remove this DoT but I cannot confirm that.
These and the Shard Spiders seem to be slightly higher level since they were still dark blue /cons at level 63 while the Watcher/Blizzard's were light blue.

These seem to be a little higher now. 59 mage with no epic yet, using dyzil's deafening decoy pet, which is basically a weaker version of the epic pet. There are 2 spawns in the right corner. One of these kept popping there and was always dark blue. The new level above of 45 - 48 is more accurate now.

They also made the drops in this zone alot better

Heya Heya sure they are green, all mobs in Velk are at least blue till lvl 60 even then they con blue. Well u say even i was lvl 40? well velks is for lvl 50+ pps what were u doing there. Velks i cool mobs like this are easy just they have a lot of hp and dont turn your back if u dont want to get bs. Just try some mobs in pits or tents than we can talk about hard mobs who some can do CH as many time as they want if u dont stun them.

These guys can drop nice gloves, Spider Fur Gloves, 4 ac 3 int 35 mana 3 sv vs cold, look like kael quest armor

Here I was pulling a blizzard hunter, when one of these pops me for 289 Bs and DV poison. Even at lvl 40 I died within a matter of secs heh, these guys are tough no matter what the con.

Posted: Mar 15 2001 at 12:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i was down there with a 51 DE sk and a 49 eru sk..we're there with just me, a 31 shaman and a 44 druid and these things were useless lol the dot doesn't even match the one i get at 34 and was an easy kill, even with the low hp tanks we were chain pulling these and other spiders

They hirt way harder than the other spiders that are near entrance.

I just got back from VL and got the chance to experience their poison while I was there. It looked like it was doing roughly 25 pts/tick. Not sure of the duration, but hopefully your Cleric isn't oom at the end of the fight. These were still a handful to a 46 Warrior, 46 SK, and 41 Rogue, with a 39 Cleric backing us up.

heh, green to 51, double tap BS for 24 each, very nasty--and they are fast as hell. Don't underestimate these bad boys.
