The fact that the level of these guys is known to be between 6 and 8 means that someone had to bring a level 7 character into chardok to con them. either that, or the level is an estimation based on their health, which can be very decieving.
Dude all they had to do was use their max damage. To find max, just sit down, let them smack you once, and the max is on screen compare it to others and you got it. Like all NPCs will always hit exactly the same damage as their level
When you sit down, don't matter if your lv.60 with 1000ac, They will hit you once for Max damage possible for level. So creatures at lv.1 hit for 6d, Illad just had to sit down, get hit for 20d and compare it to a list of all lvls. Seems confusing, to stupid people yes, but for someone who has a IQ above 93 its simple.
Well, actually there is a thing called hackeq. The only reason that we know of the level of things that will be red to us no matter what is because of it. The reason we know that the king of the Sarnaks, Kerafyrm, all those huge named dragons that are 63 or above, is because og hackeq. Taiddas Kavilion 37 Halfling Warrior Xegony
