I know this is off the subject but I noticed thepost about spending 8-10 hours in SOL A. Don't bother with the Blazing elementals. I went straight to the Lava elemental behind the gnome castle. Killed the PH and the next spawn was the Lava. He dropped the PoF for me and another mage I was with. Total time in SOL A for us was 1 hour and 5 minutes and most of that was waiting for the respawn. hope it helps

Power of Earth drops of Faerie guards still...got mine yesterday (may 4th 2002). Power of WIND (not air) drops in Mistmoore castle off Gypsie Dancers. Power of Fire drops off blazing elementals in Sol A. This is Power of Water. Turn there in and get Power of Elements. Turn in Power of Elements, Words of Magi'kot, and words of Mastery into Rykas in Lakerathe, you get Power of the Orb. Power of the Orb is part of the next part of epic (Power of Fire)

the stone is used for mage epic, just got it tonight, seems to be common.

I hate these guys even a lvl 47 monk as problem with these things hell they attack hard and fast!

Yeah, this "pebble" is an item used for the mage epic, third step. The power of wind Anon was talking about comes from gypsy dancers in MM castle... horrible camp.

There are no VS or Xalgoz hits with these little guys. I could send my bruiser in with impunity.

This guy roams the halls all over. He has low hit points. He dropped this blue stone (looks like blackened sapphire) with no stats! It says Magis Lore No Drop, Effect: ?, Class: None, Race: None. Must be a new item...comming soon?

This is one of the four powers for the Magician Epic Quest. the Power of Earth is found on a Faerie Guard in Lesser Faydark, the Power of Fire is found on the lava elemental in Solusek A, and i cant find the power of Air. please dont loot this if you cant use it
Power of Earth may also drop from "an undead sprite guard" but I just did this a couple months back and I got it from the "faerie guard" just like all the guides to the mage epic say. It took a couple hours but it was easy at level 45.

please, at 40+, the words of mastery were simple, just walk into najena, and go to the 4 easy spawn points of the mages, and prepare to wait a while. an occasional skele or ogre guard will agro, but nothing else your pet cant handle, and while your waiting on the mages, go slay the other mobs there with ease

Got all 4 Words of Mastery easily in my 5 night Najena camp to get the pieces for the pet focus items. Now THAT was a *****, not for the mobs you have to kill but for the commonality of the drops. At level 34 you can walk all over most things in Najena as a mage. I swear to gods the game knows when you need something and will go out of its way to goatf*ck you on that item sometimes. So maybe if you are searching for the words you won't find them (I didn't need them yet but did that piece of the epic anyway). Only problem with the Words that I think would be the hardest is finding and making sure that Akkstaff is up and doesn't get waxed.

I was in Najena for a whole day last weekend and yes, it does get boring (lvl 50). To pass the time, I started getting the keys so I could camp Najena, and actually died in Dreznel's room. I thought I'd have to start over again with the keys so I could get to my corpse untill I remembered I was close enough that I could just summon my corpse through the door :) Anyway, to get back on topic... I did get three of the words, then signed off for dinner, logged back on and found out the last one I needed dropped while I was gone ARGGGH! So it can be frustrating trying to get them. Akkstaff is also very fun to kill if you're bored. He's the strongest person I found in the zone, so it can be more interesting, though still a slam dunk. I saw him in all kinds of weird places, so there probably isn't a single spawn point. GL!

A level 49 mage can take this with no problem. It does take forever to drop. I just camped entire north circle:captain, Kindle, Singe, and Efreeti which spawns with the elementals. Took about 8-10 hours of camping over a three day period before I finally got the Power of Fire. I did get two pairs of impskin gloves along with all the other junk. I used a fire pet and he easily killed everything. I just sat and medd with the ocassional dispell and sword. Don't even waste mana with fire spells they are resisted a whole lot. On my server power of earth still comes from a faerie guard. I was able to pull a single with malisement and he had it so I gated. I pulled the one farthest from the zone wall. Easy kill. Getting ready to get water now. Wind was pretty easy to did it with a 46 pally friend who pulled the dancer for me. I did have some trouble with my pet in there though.

Got this same stone last night. Its called Power of Water. same stats. Looks like a plains pebble.
