I'm not so sure these guys are around those lvls, this was a while ago, but my lvl 35 beastlord was still hunting here, and they don't seem to be that low. Dark blue at 35 I wouldn't think is even lvl 28, I'd say at least a high lvl of 30, I didn't get any green cons with these guys at 35, I think that lvl range is a bit off...
Ok wtf i have gather shadows on my lvl 36 sk and im sitting medding and this **** comes up out of nowhere and starts hitting me im like WTF i had invis on!!! needless to say only having about 100hp after killing the cenobite I died pretty fast and lost about 3 blues. Now even with invis on they look at me ready to attack i dont get it WTF how do mountain giants out of all things have see invis
I am sorry to say this but I was in the same guild with Lzordz with my other Char a Druid... He only thought of him self.. I left the guild because he let people join the guild who were just like him.. I will never do business with him or anyone in his guild cause If a guild keeps people like that they are worth a second glance.. And Yogue if you are out there you are a bum too :) Its good to get that off your chest..
Don't ever group in FM unless you know the people you are grouping with. I had an extremely unpleasant time with a group in FM on quellious (yea I know, should be called Greedious) These 2 guys, asked me to join the group, fine. I joined and I noticed the after killing 10 giants (it was fast and furious pulling) that I did not get a single copper, so I figured "OK, we are not playing autosplit" So the next 1 we kill I loot it and the Monk, Jammit was the name, ******* at me rto wait until the fight was over...well slapn**z it was over! so another 5 fall, I lost the rolls for the legchoppers that dropped (every roll it turns out) so I loot once more and get chastised again, when this greedy jerk is looting the bodies before they hit the ground! I left the group and decided to go back to LOIO to solo, since I could make 20p in a good soloing session...well the asses were not done..The other greedy azz was named Lzordz, amd puts out a /shout "don't group with Mikk, he stole a loot we were supposed to roll on" Well di**less wonder, I did not, and of course I called them on it and Lzordz did the ninja loot and tried to blame it on me so he wouldn't have to share with Jerkoff Jammit. A good moral here is do not group unless everyone agrees beforehand how the loot is to be divided. I would suggest that if someone wants to loot the bodies without sharing, the other people in the party should be paid a flat rate at the onset of the adventure, like 100p then the greedy preeks can loot all they wanbt...whew, sorry, I had to get that out of my system. I guess I am ready to start making the p so I can get some gear better than the Freeport newbie bard armor. :) Good hunting!
Heh, since then I have changed servers and started all over with just milk and cookies and a shortsword :) Solusek Ro seems to be a pretty decent server to play on...Still some greedy folks, but I worry alot less about that as I have been soloing the majority of the time. Just last night I decided to go back to FM and solo the giants there. I used this strategy in pulling multiples, and had very little downtime. I picked on the ones in the middle, close to where you can usually find the MG Brae. I would use soothe to calm the possible adds down, and pull 2 of the ugly bastages to my spot and root one, pull the other one a ways away and root it and work him over with 2hs (getting hits in the 100's). They hit hard, and hit fast and I usually ended up with a little over half of my health left, but a few heals, a med session and back to it. No one has seen a loop there that I know of, and I saw plenty of druids there kiting giants. I looted about 5 lumberjack caps, a leg-chopper, a black pearl and a giant grub digger and some change. I was surprised to get around 15p per cap, 20 or so p for the leg-chopper and 30+ P for the grub digger and 18p for the pearl. It was a pretty profitable hour of giant smacking. :)
ive soloed a few at level 28 (twinked!) i have wurmy and centi long, do about 250 damage per round (80,80,40,40) and only lose about half a red of life per kill
I am a lvl 34 Ranger and soloing these guys is fairly easy, Craigs do seem to have too many HP though! I carry 2 Centi Long Swords, and after snaring then, it is pretty safe to run near the zone near overthere and finish the fight. sit there by the zone, med, and heal, and head out again! All giants here are blue to me at 34, so just remember the level of difficulty before you start taking on more than one
I was around lvl 25ish and my friend who is currently a crazy lvl 30 and im currently lvl 28. anyways, his lvl 53 cleric plvled both of us and all we found was some crap hammer of flatening and stuff like that and a lumberjack's cap which i sold for 25pp. me and my friend rolled for it. he rolled and got 55. i rolled and got 60 :) trying to find an Axe of the Iron Back for my new warrior im making and why try for the forest loop? they like never drop
I just achieved lvl 30 and was killing the forest giants with no problem. I am an SK/Iskar so I wanted to try out the mountain giants they are just as easy. a 30 warrior cant solo these give me a break I am wearing nothing but bronze from the moon. I have a couple of items like a centri warspear and a good helm
Level 32 at the time I tried it, had sow, maxxed defense, offense, and descent 1hb , 192 Wisdom, descent AC, and SoW. Solo'd it down to nearly to running, at which point I went OOM and melee'd it ,started running after about 12 whacks, roughly 30 minutes later after meleeing I was OOM and about 50% health and 1 bubble of STA left. Soloable by clerics!...sort of.
These guys can easily be taken down solo by a level 28 druid. Just take your pick and pull it around the side of the fort and kite over there. I have never got any adds by kiting over there. Dont attempt to root, unless you're higher level than 30 or so, because they break ou tof it easily. Cast Creeping crud and keep em snared, and your good to go. If you do it right you wont get hit at all, and end up with about 90% mana left. As for doing it at 24 im not sure, If i remember they resist a lot until you get to 27.

these giants are easy. i cant believe some of you people are stupid enough to say a level 31 warrior would die without the giant batting his eyelid. they are weak!
These giants are indeed easy. Myself a level 25 cleric and a 33 Warrior partnered up to hunt at the fort and had a pretty easy go of it. I would say that it is possible to partner up with any level 30's characters but healings would be a must if you wanna have multiple pulls.
I'm a level 30 monk... only minorly twinked (Wu armor, a decent face slot, orc fang ears/neck, Velium Fire Wedding Ring and Rune Etched Wedding band... weapons are only Fighting Baton and Essence of Dol... nothing flashy.) Anyway, I started soloing hillocks at level 30... just be sure bind wound is up and mend is too. Tumps are blue, but only slightly... so I dont do them unless I have a partner.
Anyway, just thought someone might like to know... I'm probably wrong though.
I have a question. I'm a lvl 30 warrior, with 198 str, 188 sta, 750ish ac, 750ish atk, and about 1500hp. I have a lammy in primary and centi longsword in secondary. Think I'll be able to solo the mountain giant hillocks? Any warriors out there know anything that gives decent exp for a 30 to solo? Thanks!

What level should you stay here tell. I have a level 30 ranger and I am trying to figure out where he should hunt at. Do any of you have any addvice on to where I should hunt?
So far, I have found nowhere for a lvl 30 warrior to solo. Rangers probably could solo... you could group in OT though. You may want to try Iceclad, where Snow Cougars are located. The loot is good to, being they drop Cougar Claw Earrings. You can also try the Crypt of Dalnir, which I am probably going to try.
Dont solo giants unless you have backup or they are very blue. I got nearly killed trying. Whats more is having two tanks and a healer/sower is ultimate way to take them down. I went up 6 levels killing these guys.
sorry bout the late post but...I fought here from lvl 24 to 31 and saw 2 loops drop. Then when I hit 35 I needed plat and rememberd decent loot drops here so I came back I found a healer partner bout my lvl an saturday night withing an hour 2 loops droped but instead of rolling we just each got one and today i was fighting with a shaman for 2 to 3 hours and 3 droped we eache kept 1 and roled on the 3rd I lost but no big deal. So maybe i'm just lucky but in about 6 hours of fighting there I saw 5 loops drop.
With a solid group of mid to upper 20's you can camp giant fort all day and make hella exp and nice loot
weapons that drop are 20-50pp each tunic and cap are a nice sell and the forest loops top the cake selling for around 500pp and are even better if you can use them
