49 druid and 47 necro, once we got the kinks ironed out, were able to kill him fairly easily. We got several nothing drops, 1 diamond, 2 rubys, 1 ruby crown, 1 plat jade ring, and one saphire necklace. This in about ten kills. No blue diamond yet.
I would snare, then root and starfire to get aggro built up..had necro turn pet taunt off..then kited around with him following and necro pet running behind beating his ***. when i needed to med, necro would fear and dot..then i would take over again.

Lets talk facts here mr I think i know everything about pvp yet im talking from a level 8 standpoint... (moron) With 1558 hp only a level 60 wiz could kill someone in 3 spells, check this, my resists in cold are 132 and fire 147, sunstrike does NOTHING to me maybe 200 dmg (1560hp dmg nuke pve max dmg pvp is about 1020 yes pvp spell dmg is reduced 66% even on blue servers) The only spell that could kill that rogue in 3 casts is LURE OF ICE = 519 UNRESISTABLE dmg in PVP.

Mr. Rogue, you have good dueling strategies, but you could never solo this mob. You may be able to take down another player with around 1200-1800hp, but this mob has 14,000hp. The day you can EVER do that much before he beats the living snot out of you will be quite a day for ALL melee classes. In the end of the game the only classes that can solo anything are pet classes, and even then it is restricted to mages and necro's. Mr. Wizard, you are as ignorant as they come. No one cares that you have a high level wizard and that you enjoy bragging about his pseudo-power. The rogue is right, in the real world, any class can beat any other class in a duel. The trick is the tactics used by this person, if the other guy is a moron, then he will get beaten, no matter what the match up is. You also, could never solo this mob. Why? At level 50, if you can find one creature that doesn't resist your root and call you a little *****, please tell me. As for me, I play a mage, and like to simply because he suits my playing style and my pet does all my dirty work. Advanced Root and Nuke :)

Ok now come back from your fantasy world and realize you Do NOT have to lie to make friends. If you are lvl 55 and you give a Wizard around your level 3 spells you will be dead in 3 spells buddy. Any caster could kill you let alone a Wizard. You say they cast 3 IC and you have HP left, well uhh Ice Comet is 1200 dmg spell, you have 1500 hp so uhh go figure. Even with your resist at 80 you would be reduced to nothing after 2 IC. Lol then you say when you start "poking" them and they cant get a spell off, well any Wizard who knows how to dual would just have to cast a little 8th level spell and your fake tactics would go down the drain. The spell is Shadow Step and it mini ports in about a 50 yard radius. Oh BTW the casting time is 1.0 and i dont think you have any weapons with a delay better than 10. Hmm.... Now after they Shadow Step 50 yards away it would surely gie them enough time to root you, laugh, tell jokes and go to the bathroom come back and finish you off.. hahaha. Rogues are the weakest class in the game. Lets see, you get poison and backstab. Wow. Any Wizard who made it to level 50 wouldnt have any problem killing a lvl 50 rogue. Wizards can kill you without even a 3 spell headstart. It would go like this.... Invis and watch you run all over trying to find em. Walk to the edge of their spell range and DD you. While you run to try to melee cast Shadow Step which is 1.0 casting time remember? Invis again and do it all over:P

At level 55 with my epic, I'll give wizards a head start of casting any 3 spells of thier choice on me before I start pokien them. As a rogue with 1558 hps, they almost always go with ice comet because I give them the 3 starting spells, after 3 IC's I still have 2 hps or so and they can't cast when I'm on them not to mention I start melee with system shock IV poison for 221 damage and a brief stun which allows me to get in the double backstab. Can you say owned to a level 60 wizard in 6 seconds? As far as mages necros and other casters go the only ones I've trouble with are mages and thier damage shields, but I can still kill a pet caster faster than thier pet can kill me. My 3 losses are all to shadowknights, one of them didn't HT me which I thought was kind, but he was level 60 with epic and he just lifetapped me for 270 hps every time I poked him =(

I(52 wiz) went to dino island w/ my 49 necro friend to maybe get a bd for a ring I wanted. we went there and he darked it then feared it relatively easy for the first time. IU had to have nuked him for about 8 or 9 k damage. second time we faced him he resisted my friends dooming my ensnare a crapload of times. finally I got a snare to stick I was oom and my friend was medding for a dooming went to circle him around for the dooming and pow tripped me for 137 stunned me and dead. so hehe went back there with a 47 druid friend of mine to try it again this time took us about 15 minutes but we succeeded in killing him what drops 3 snake skins lol my hopes of gettin a bd were crushed and my druid friend was tired. moral of this story = druids can snare him necros have a little trouble snaring him
also one question how the hell did the 49 mage solo it there is no bleeping way you pet would be toast?

Killed him last night abut 12 times. He dropped, snake skins, meat, runes and words. He also dropped one diamond, one blue diamond and one black sapphire.
We weren't sure how to get him to pop so we ran around the isle killimg all the gobbos. He would pop like 4 times in a row then there would be a lull.
We did it fairly easily with a 51 Pal, 51 Wiz, 51 Dru, 51 Rng and a 50 Enc. Fear, snare, nukes and good old fashioned swordblows took him down.

While exp penalty and faction problems suck big time, being an Iksar necromancer does have its rewards at higher levels. I am 51 right now and decided to give this overgrown leezard a try. First round I found myself back at Thurgadin bank,

We killed this guy 6 times last night, 3 necro's level 46 through 51, then he came back so Magic resistant that two of us we're wiped from the face of Narrath and the high level Necro had to Feign Death with 12 HP left.
The first item he dropped, and I won, was a Blue Diamond, the second item was a Ruby Crown, the third Item was a Saphire necklace and then the rest of the time he dropped Lizard Scales...what the heck are the scales for? Anyone know?

This is a tough MOB. has like 14k HP hits hard and for every 10 kills will drop a Gem or Vendor loot. The Blue Diamonds are the ULTRA rare drop, after killing him 20 times i have seen, i blue diamond, and a few smaller Gems. For how tough he is and the constant PH you have to kill. I woulndt do it agian for how boring it is. You can do much better elsewhere

LAst night a 51 Necro, 52 Monk, and 49 War were wiped out after the third time we killed him when the Necro was resisted everytime he tried to cast snare. In the three times we killed him he dropped Snake Scales and no Gems. Did drop 2 Runes of impetus though. i dont think with all the new zones out there i will come back to kill him, the Ally has too many HP for it to be worth the effort. We did have to kill he PH a few times for him to spawn which was quite boring.

49th Shaman and 52nd Ranger killed him in a long drawn out kite. 20+mins I think. Dropped not even a cp. Killed him again and same thing, nothing dropped. Rarely rooted but snared it took about 8 - 10 Ebolts and 3 or 4 plagues plus whatever the ranger used. Tactic was ranger snare shaman DoT and med. Ranger drag godzilla around the entire island and back to the waiting shamn for another round of DoTs. Was fun but a huge PitA.

i been campin him just for the hell of it since level 52 or so. He is soloable, i have been doing it scince level 52. He does have alot of HPs, and not much in the way of loot, but he is hardly camped, and at higher levels the xp isnt bad. There are other places to get better xp, but the chance of blue spawns is low, and the other places the chance of death is high. Sure leveling might be a tad slow, but with the gem drops, and steady safe xp, its worth it to me.

Starfire when I had extra mana (not often though, my roots didn't hold very long as he was yellow to me, and druid root spells don't work that well to begin with). Slowly kited him in a circle around the island for somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes--I only know this because I had to refresh ensnare twice.
If I didn't have my ES vambraces this would have taken a lot longer, as I'd have been out of mana for most of the fight.
What did I get? Two lizard scales, something else worthless, and half a blue bubble of exp. Add in the 20 minutes or so to go through two placeholders, and it took me around 40-50 minutes total. Not worth it. I'd rather buy my blue diamonds at the inflated prices of 1k-2k, or get them from turning in ulthork tusks...
Too bad the other goblins on the island are so weak, since each time I rooted the Allizewsaur near one he'd attack the goblin (and take him out in two swipes).
I imagine fear kiting would work better...?

I can solo this guy easy (lvl 52 necro), I just keep him doomed and feared and my pet (no taunt) tears into him. So far he has dropped a jacinth, a ruby and a couple of runes out of 6 kills. Only one thing to watch if fear and dooming breaks you better hope you have jboots. Very easy and xp isnt too bad, prolly takes about 3-5 mins per fight. Don't even think about it if your a mage, I saw a 55 mage pet die fast shortly followed by the mage. Its about time us necros get a decent high lvl outdoor mob to fight, pity he doesnt drop eboots or an fbss. And yes he does have about 14000hps.

PH pops too much better exp in T.Tooth etc.

It's true! I'm lvl 6 so i used my invisibility spell(and hoped it didn't wear off)then sat by the the pillar-temple thing he gaurds. Every few minutes an Aqua goblin would walk by, as they were walking a huge scaley hand would hit them and killem in one hit.

Well, you died, but at least you died at a low lvl. Lemme tell ya, explore while its easy to get XP back and lvl. I have a 31 ranger, but when I was a lower lvl, people would tell me how crazy I was for exploring further and further. Man, how stupid I was to listen to them because I find at my higher lvl that EC definitely wasnt as bad as it was made to sound, and neither were a bunch of other places. Lemme tell ya, exploring takes out the monotony of the game. I bet the people who told you not to xplore and use your invis to do it were people who all they did was lvl. The game is called "Everquest" implying that you are to go on quests - thats the draw to the game. The game is not however called "Fight a Lot, Get Money, and Buy Crappy Weapons With Your Measily Orc Loot". Keep exploring buddy. I just got a necro and hope to get him some of those crazy Jboots because I'd like to see Alli a little closer than from my boat. The first time I saw Alliwesaur was my first trip to freeport, which I never made. I was lvl 9 and I Was going to meet a friend in qeynos, and I got trained. The Mob stayed on the damn boat and killed us all. Before that however I was fishing off the side of the boat, and in the distance loomed an island. Man, when I saw Alliwesaur I wanted to jump off the boat and go take a picture. The only reason I didnt was fear of losing my body in the damn ocean.
As for exploring, my first day playing this game, after fighting and lvling a bit, and all my friends went to bed, I decided to go everywhere my little heart could reach. I like exploring too, but with my character, almost anywhere I go people don't like me for some reason :P (I'm a rogue) I actually think I'll make a caster just for seeing all there is to see in Norrath... before I'm a high enough lvl to blast my way through it with my main character, of course ;)

i have just tried to fear it (53rd Dru) doesnt work... He has quite a high resist rate but myuself a 53 necro and 49 chanter beat the crap outta him ) He drops plenty of scales
