Anyone else find it annoying that they changed the icon for this after what, 15 years? Guess I'm a traditionalist....

Everytime I look at a merchant now a days it's holding at least 100 blue diamonds. Something is going on here. Figure it out plz, I hate spoiled markets.
I don't think so. I can get 10+ diamonds from just a couple hours of soloing in POFire, and I doubt that is even the best place to do so. You get a good group in COD or wherever these drop really well and you get a stack of 100 in no time. Plus one 85 can pull 50 mobs at a time in zones like that while they are PLing an alt and rack up diamonds quick. See it happen quite a bit on my server.
Offered frequently in recent weeks for 400 – 825p in the Bazaar. Average price range being 650 – 800p. Seen full stacks (100) sell in this range every few weeks on average. Early in the year the prices were at the higher end 800p, but in recent weeks a glut on the market makes them available, atm, in this wider range. They are sometimes bought by players in barter at around 300p. (/barter when in the bazaar zone) Even so they can still be sold in full stacks in the 800 range occasionally.

Does any one know the best place to camp this on Luclin server? I have a jewelrymakeing skill of 293 and this are pretty much the only skill~upper.
When I was a little necro I use to hunt in Dulak Harbor and get 2 to 5 blue diamonds a day (5 hours of hunting). Your best bet is the ships.

I been trying to find a place to farm Blue Diamonds to get my JC up to 300 and it appears they have been nerfed really bad. Plane of Growth use to drop them like mad and barely a gem drop now.
I been searching all the spots posted on various message boards and coming up empty. This is unless you wanna farm for 3 or 4 ours to get just one or two.
Any spots out there that yield 1 in 5 to 10 kills?
Went to Plane of Hate and killed 60 mobs and got one. Thats a bit on the ridiculous side, don;t you think?

Have had the blue diamond drop on occasion off different mobs, on trash like A Tormented Pugilist, A Tormented Mercenary, and the named npcs, throughout GE.
Drop rate isn't very high considering the kill number, but they do drop here.
Diamonds also drop in GE . . . for every 3 or 4 BDs, there is a diamond drop, so BDs have a higher drop rate in GE, at least at the moment.
Haven't seen Raw Diamond in GE at all.

The NPC vendors were nerfed a couple months ago to only hold the items that are visible in their inventory. After a patch you might be able to find a couple BDs on a vendor, but once you buy those someone will sell crap to the vendor, causing the rest of the BDs sold to that vendor to be destroyed. I have been unable to find any BDs for sale on an npc vendor for a couple months. I'm guessing that 99% of the BDs sold to the vendors now are being destroyed.
Please /feedback SOE if you are uspet about rising costs of BDs, cultural gear, etc...

I often run over to the Gypsy camp in OOM after a LDoN there and 50% of the time find BD's for sale. However they only sell one and never more then that, so i'm gueesing they can only have one at a time.

i have bought more than 1 BD off a single vendor but the other guy is right no more vendor farming they only carry what is in their sell window at that time. im guessing the reason you dont see them much is everyone looks for them either for their own tradeskill's or to sell in the bazaar for profit.
apparently after the recent pacth , dec.18th,ish,,i no longer find blue diamonds for sale at any of the lDoN magus merchants, where i used to get them,, yes was for 262 pp,, and on T. Marr, in Bzar there for sale at a ungawdly 350pp(cheapest) and up to 500pp,, all the ldon merchants slot have items ,so i bought out a few slots of crap items,hopein BD will show but iam not holdin my breath,funny they now have emeralds, sapphires and rubys ,,and no BD,wonder why,,,,,
I tend to agree. I visited all the regular LDoN camps today, even Oasis gypsies, and could not find one Blue Diamond. I still could find Jacinth, regular diamonds, and even a few black Sapphires though.

Blue diamonds drop regularly in LDoN dungeons. The Bazaar market is so depressed on these that I don't bother to buy for 262pp when I see them on a vendor.

In just a matter of a couple weeks, the Blue Diamond's value in the bazaar has plummeted. I'm finding these on vendors all over the PoK. With maxed Charisma you can buy these off vendors for about 265. But then the bazaar is swamped with these and people cant even sell them for 230pp!!!

If someone is selling them for 230 in the bazaar, they are a fool. Merchants will pay 238pp for them.

That's max cha and faction, yes? Not everyone has perfect faction with where they find these often.
With 150 charisma, I can get max price at merchants who con apprehensive. Just carry a pair of opal encrusted steins, with the +6 or +7 cha augments from LDoN. I've had NO problem getting CHA augs, since half the LDON groups I have been in had no chanter, and they were letting them rot.
Between 2 steins (augmented), you can add 64 charisma. If this isn't enough, make an enchanter alt with high cha, give him the steins, and transfer the gems using the shared bank to sell. There is NEVER a reason to take less than full price, anless you are just lazy or in a hurry and don't care.

heh, looted a BD off a cannoneer in Dulak on one of the boats
I've seen a few drop there. Sitting in the bank waiting for my fletching to get to 250 (205 atm)

Yeh alot seem to drop in Dulak, i got like 4 while i been camping the Soul Shredder (aporx 6 hours of killing - though was only killing the one mob on a 15-20min timer)

While fighting in Dulak, near the boats, I was practicing (nice way to say it) pick pocket skills, I lifted a blue diamond of the mob. I was so excited, I blurted it out to my group as this is the best loot I ever received by pickpocketing.
The pally in our group said the mobs by the docks have been dropping them as he had 2 of them from camping the dock the night before. Hope this information helps those looking for blue diamonds.

I confirm the drop in Dulak ... I think I may have also seen one on "a shady treasure sorter" and/or "a storage worker" while camping them for my 44th DRU spell Healing Waters (nada luck on the spell though sadly, 'cept for the Karana symbol, hehehe).

Drops in Plane of Justice on Sentries, pretty rare though.
My group got 5 Blue Diamonds in the tunnles of dulak... I can't tell you the name of the monster that droped them but I'll tell you where...
From the Gunthak Zoneline go left into the hidden caves take the fisrt right you come to and you should see some stairs leeding into a fairly bug room. Thats the room one of the pops in that room (an enchanter I think) drops them quite often

Had a small group in Dulak and there were 2 Blue Diamond drops within 15-30 mins of each other. I didn't win the roll for em though. Hoping for some tunarean scout armor here shortly!

Got one off a sentry in the Plane of Justice last night.
Used to be you'd consider yourself lucky to get these for 1k... now you can easily find one for 400. Main reason why is the PoP zones are relatively rich in diamonds and blue diamonds (quite common in PoN especially) in areas where soloing or single grouping is not out of the question. As a result, a lot more diamonds and blue diamonds are on the market. Increased supply, prices drop, simple economics.

No. At least not regularly... sometimes players sell these to merchants in Plane of Knowledge and Plane of Tranquility, but wouldn't count on it. With 100 charisma they cost 266pp on the rare times a merchant has one to sell. I was insanely luckly today, somebody who didn't realize the value of these is much higher that what a merchant pays sold it to a merchant in the Cabilis shaman guild, and I bought it for 266.
Plane of Knowledge and Plane of Tranquility, are to the best of my knowledge, the only planes that have merchants.

You may have been lucky my friend but I was INSANELY LUCKY when I bought 9 blue diamonds on the Plane of Tranquilty for 262pp each. Resale was very profitable :)
