There are two "a stalking feran" PH located about N590 N1092. They are two static mobs on a small ledge as you face North. West feran spawns Bull about 3 times more than East.
My wife and I duo the bull with a 67 ranger and 67 druid. Good fight with EP equipment.
Con your way in, mobs are random see invis. All mobs are on a 20 min timer and Bull can spawn on consecutive cycles.
Bull will quad hit between 300 - 700, summons, DoTs (unknown type), rarely has a mana drain DoT, moderate resists, but can be snared and rooted.
Will drop one 66, or 67 lvl rune about 50% of time.
At this /loc, there are two static spawns with "a stalking feran" and one roamer "a stalking feran". Is this the correct ledge or is it the one across the gully that has just the two static spawns in close proximity to one another? I sat through several spawns and no Feran Bull. Am I just having bad luck?
It's the ledge with the two close together, facing south. If you are coming from packmaster then turn right (south) and the ledge is the first opening on the right.
The Bazu in the gully just south of them is one of the placeholders for the Massive Bazu, so it's easy to camp both at this spot.
He always has Feranic Grasp (and about 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 stalking ferans have this ability, too). The grasp is incredibly annoying, because it includes a slow and it only lasts 3 ticks... w/ a 3 tick recast. Because of that, you effectively can't cure it. And it's hard to resist (-250 magic), so essentially the bull will keep *somebody* slowed throughout the fight. The damage it does is negligible.
The rare ability is Feran Breath, a short range AE. This one sucks. Lasts a minute and is a 300 mana/tick drain (300HP/tick, too). Worth curing (36 disease counters).
