Boss:

Ziegel One-eye, Bazu Tamer

Trigger:

Kill Lannal the Beast Tamer and 2x a gargantuan bazu

Goal:

Prevent waves of dragorns from freeing the chained bazus:

  • a beast handler
  • a beast controller
  • a beast master

  • i.e. kill them as quickly as possible

    Event:

    Duration ~15 minutes

First emote immediately upon final death of trigger mobs. Ziegel spawns with the last emote listed.

00:28 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Quickly, release the bazu! Release the beasts!'
00:28 -- Perhaps you can prevent the dragorn from reaching and then releasing all of the chained bazu.
00:56 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
01:27 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
02:46 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
04:46 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
06:46 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
09:16 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
11:46 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'Go! Get down there and release the chained bazu!'
14:46 -- Ziegel One-eye shouts, 'My men! You monsters have killed off my men. I will destroy you all!'

Multiple dragorns spawned with every "Get down there" emote. I don't think they all came at once. Typically saw 3-4 on track after an emote. They spawn in various locations, including both outside and inside the tunnel. I think their pathing might be a bit screwy, as it seemed like they sometimes warped traveling to a chained bazu.

Text when they are freeing a bazu:

A beast controller hastily unsecures one of the bazu's shackles.
A beast master hastily unsecures one of the bazu's shackles.

Not sure if this is entirely accurate, but here are the number of each type that were killed after each "wave" emote:

    Emote 1
    handler x1, controller x1

    Emote 2
    handler x2, controller x4

    Emote 3
    handler x4, controller x5, master x1

    Emote 4
    handler x6, controller x2, master x1

    Emote 5
    handler x4, controller x1, master x5

    Emote 6
    controller x4, master x8

    Emote 7
    handler x1, controller x4, master x7

    Spells:

Ziegel One-eye, Bazu Tamer casts Whipping Dust.

    Loot:

    2 spells, 2 items

  • Glowing Muramite Rune
  • Greater Muramite Rune
  • Blade of the Everlasting Ember
  • Spellweaver's Slippers
  • Stone of Marking

  • This dropped from Ziegel, not a chest.

Ring event. Killing Lannal yields no loot, you must complete the ring. Presumably one of the rewards is a 20/23 12% dagger, which is a nice upgrade for pre-Time or pre-1.5 rogues. See this post at Safehouse for more info, maps etc.

You can kill the bazu guards then kill Lannal at his spawn point. After he dies at his spawn point he does a zone wide shout and lots of dragorns try to run into the castle lannal stands befor and free the bazu's, moment one goes by and free's a bazu you have failed event. That is as far as I have gotten. Would probly need a couple of groups been awhile since I have tried this but a lot of dragorns try to run into castle that you have to agro or else they will just run right by you.
    Could be

Could be shm epic, though where would the bazu be... Does it trigger the Bazu Smasher Event? (aka Druid 2.0 fight)

Not for the Shaman Epic. Bazu Smasher (nearby) is for the Berserker 2.0, though.
    hmm

anyone actually killed him and his guards and then had anything happen after that. I did today and I got an emote in the zone

[Sat Jan 01 17:00:29 2005] A voice bellows from deep inside the compound, 'Quickly, release the bazu! Release the beasts!'

I'm not totaly sure, but I know that we shaman are still missing a part of our 2.0 and I think that this may have something to do with it, but need to know if others had this happen to them and not been a shaman near the final part of their epic.

So, is this mob surrounded by a ring of other mobs? Could it be like a ring event where you have to kill the rest first and then this mob is powered up or at least gets a loot table? Just an idea i got while reading...
    Killed

Killed him today. Had a Necro FD/Pet pull him. After a bit of trial and error, got him back to camp and killed him.

    Dropped Nothing!
    Splittable, I think

I think he can be split from his red con guads. We played with him, and manage to plit one of the guards. Problem is that 9 out of 10 times, the named will start walking back before the guards do. After trying for about half an hour, we gave up. The named himself hits for 400-500 or so. The gargantuan bazu hit for 1700 or so.
    yuck
    # Sep 23 2004 at 2:07 AM Rating: Default
pets hit 1200 on tank, 2200 non tank, rampages, and immune to changes in run speed...
