I just purchased the Fly Making Bench from the Merchant in Sunrise Hills to complete The Bone Rod Anniversary Quest. I tried placing it in both The Standard Guild Hall and The Neighborhood Guild Hall and in both cases I received a red notice that this item can't be placed here. How do I set up the fly making bench in the Guild Hall? I don't have access to a guild yard or a home.
I just tested this and it works fine. I purchased a new bench from Tanya for 1 plat, so there would be no confusion. This bench can only be placed on your guild plot or in your custom guild hall.
I am not sure what you mean by "standard guild hall" but if you mean the door on the right when your facing the magus in the lobby that is labeled "standard" then, no you cannot place anything in that guild hall since it is for everyone.
So you or your guild must own the custom hall AND you have to have been given "permissions" to place items by the guild leader/owner. Also F2P cannot place items in custom halls.
It would be helpful if you could post what the red message said. For example: You do not have the right membership level to perform this action or You cannot place this item in this location?

I stumbled across one along the Vendoe building wall in Sunrise hills! That's what I used for the Bone rod combine!

Just wondering if this item can be used instead of a tacklebox to create modified stat flys for fishing? Because if it cant't that wouldn't make alot of sense, I actually tye real life fishing flys and I use one of these as a tradeskill tool(in real life) plus it would eliminate 1 more used space in my inventory! Woot! Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
