My 54 wizzy jus got this today. Was glad to get it I was boxing already and had to run my poor wizzy there from PoK with 16 min left till rot. Was worried about getting there and finding a room full of mobs and no corpse but I got there and looted in time. Happy wizzy now!
I obtained this item for my wiz-bot on a quick kill a few months ago. Pre epic and around level 51... By level 54, I had my epic and another 1hb that made this a nice bag toy. I quickly learned I would swap this item back in when I was LOM and melee. Whif, Whif, 135, whif, 90, whif, whif... still worth noting that I was doing some decent damage -- about 1/2 my nuke damage per mob with melee buffs... Yep. When I hit 60, my mana/damage ratio had increased to a point that I never swing... hell... I don't WANT the extra agro.
So, basically if you don't have your epic, this is a nice stick to use until you do... or until you start doing some serious output via mana and you should just sit there and med.
Yes, as one poster noted, the graphics rock. It reminds me of an ST avatar item, but more interesting.
Regardless, I got it for one RPS at level 51. I used it for 9 levels and still pull it out for show and tell.
straight up this staff is not that good if it was 1hb would be nice but looks are uber so enjoy and wear it when in the bazaar with ur best robe guaranteed madddddd inspects Philthyone Tapsdatass Rallos-Zek
Stave of Wit is easy to get, is a lot better 33/35 25 int 25 cha 100 mana 100hp ( guessing hp and ratio) 2hblunt, drop from Spirit of Tawro in UP and believe me is really good looking, has a nice book on the top of the staff. a lot better than this. I love my staff!

considering that you could have a velks spell book and focus crystal (also dropped by rhag 1) combo, i think its not that great a staff considering the higher difficulty ofthe mob.
granted, this has bettr cha, which according to some has big effects on charm etc; im a believer but there are so many high-cha items out there, not having cha in your main slots doesnt really matter.
I was awarded this staff on a raid. I honestly didn't think I would use it, since my Zlandicar's heart and Orb of the Infinite Void are way better for stats. But then I equipped it. OMG this has got to be the most interesting if not weird staff I have seen. For those of you that haven't seen it, it looks like a giant magnifying glass with a horn tied to the end. IMO Vanity > Practicality. Sure, when we raid something where my int really needs to be 234 instead of 214, then I put this bad boy away and use my other stuff. But you should get this staff simply because it's fun. I get more /tells about this staff than n00bs begging for clarity. I'll scrounge up a screenshot and see if they can post the graphic of the staff equipped. It's fun... get it.
OH and I almost forgot... I can med in WC now without feeling like a gimp that has to nuke or mez or wait for someone else to kill those stupid kodiaks and skeletons when they aggro me since you can't attack with steins or zlandi's heart.
I personally think that this item is ridiculously moronic. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't have something better than this already at it's level of recommended usability. It's only use would be to throw on for SV's and even then, it's laughably weak.
I'll admit, the added HP/MP are nice but overall, this weapon is poo poo.
Think Risk VS Reward on this and then on a Stein of Mogguk and a Crude Stein.
Well I'm deffinatly not uber. And, I'm a hp necro. Right now I use an ancient fishing pole for the 75 health and an ornate runed shield.
This staff deffinatly > 75health 8int 10mana 5svall 15ac
And yes, I have helped kill this guy a number of times and have had this staff drop a few times. Unless I get my hands on an orb of the infinite void, I'd love an item like this.
Heh...let's see...a 33/35 weapon in the hands of a 51st level Enchanter with the following spells:
Celerity + Illusion Werewolf + Boon of the Garou + a series of Color Stun spells + Beserker Spirit (lvl 49 Str buff and damage absorber)
Plus, max out 2HB (which is VERY easy to do), and now you've got an Enchanter who can wade into melee (NOT TANK), and dish out some good melee damage without drawing aggro (since any decent, equivalent level melee-class can out-taunt a Chanter who's straight out meleeing).
Doing such melee ends up being more efficient than tossing out a nuke, and the mana we spend putting up the spells I listed above can easily be regained with Clarity through a battle (most are either long-duration, or short-duration with such little mana drain that they're trivial to cast at level 51).
Basically, this is the new Staff of Annihilation.
And no, I never said Enchanters could TANK, but they can definitely do some melee damage (and again, not on par with any melee classes).
I'm the submitter. I sent in a correction but thought I'd post here also.
This staff is a rare from Rhag Zhezum on 1st floor Ssra temple. Other drops include at least 3 level 60 luclin spells (he dropped Zevfeer's Theft of Vitae for me), Focus Crystal (+75hp +75mana +int and such 1h item), some melee stuff etc.
Zhezum is level 65, rampages constantly for 400ish, has around 150k hp. No AE, he's a pushover, just make sure you have enough clerics, and a high damage output. I'd rate him about 50% the difficulty of Vindicator.
Dolalin Bonewielder Warlock of The Shadow Order Lanys T`Vyl
just to clarify, the original post was a joke. my enchanter is level 7. i was just imagining the kinds of posts we're gonna start seeing with pure casters getting melee slot items with such awesome ratios. /apologize for any confusion
It is funny how you left a link to make yourself look stupid. It clearly says above cap till LVL 50 and as you can see he is LVL 55. Just thought that I would point out the odvious.

That would be nice of you....seeing as how this is not monk useable, im sure he would thank you gleefully as you were pounding your head on the computer desk wishing you had looted since its no drop.

#REDACTED,
Posted:Jan 30 2002 at 7:07 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Apparently, whoever posted this item believes it to be the common drop from the mob that drops it...this does not mean that it will be common for you to run into people carrying them.
now i know im too low to get this...and probably by the time i hit 50+ it will be outdated but i saw 2hb first and thought....why? id never use that....id rather have steins(10int 15cha 5dex 10sta 25sv vs disease) but then i saw the mana and hp and saves...sure at that lvl 25sv vs disease would help but sv vs cold and fire and magic would definatly help on raids. i just wish they would stop putting melee attributes along with caster attributes(str and highdamage/low delay). but hey grats to whomever got this GREAT item, wish i had one : )
