Great weapon for low to medium Wizards. Procs often and hits in the 20's. I got some flack from Wizard purists for using a weapon at first. Apparently Wizards are ONLY supposed to cast. I am glad I used the dagger through my mid 20's. My piercing skill is excellent now, and it is nice to be able to fall back on the dagger if I am out of mana.

You must not be a 34+ wizzy. This is the best weapon to have in your inventory as either a quad kiting wizzy or one that practices tailoring. This dagger is a god send. When you get the 1 mob that doesnt die when quad kiting, you usually have to waste mana dropiping him the last hundered HP. Not with this weapon. I routinely hit for 24 per swing and with a delay of 29, that not bad for a wizzy. It usually procs for me every 4th or 5th swing too. No more wasting mana on slow runners or basically dead 1 sliver of life left mobs.
This also rules for hunting those annoying spiders for silk and bear, cat, and wolves for pelt. Nothing worse than wasting a bar of mana on these stupid greens. I can kill more with this dagger than burning them down and medding.
BTW- this is magical and not NO DROP as of 3/27 when I looted mine.

Melee weapons are made for wizards at the higher levels so they don't have to waste manna on greenies if they need to farm.
Like a previous poster already mentioned, if you want to harvest spider webs, batwings, or bones, or kill a bunch of gnolls to fix faction, why waste manna.
I just got one of these last night. Won the roll - Woot! Dropped off a Strathbone Runelord all right. We were there for only half an hour and were mobbed by spiders in the room to your right after you go down the drop to the left of the entranceway. Me (44 Mage), 44 druid, 38 SK and 52 shaman held this place no prob. In fact, the druid accidently gated and the SK fell down a pit, so me and the shaman held off 5-6 spider on our own. Thank god for my new 44 fire pet.
Anyway, I have this for sale on 7th Hammer for 6K or trades. Send me a tell....
