That's correct. All levels wear off after 30 hits even if they don't have a rune component.

At this point it's a nice little buff (with stacking issues yes, but nice).
However; proceeding past this point to level 5 gives you the first of the mitigation shields which, once thier max is reached, drops the buff completely.

What quest is this from?
It turns out all levels of Ancient Fyacite Resonance Barrier wear off like a rune despite the spell information listed here. Because of it is a rune from level 1 there isn't any reason to not move on to higher levels of the clicky.
