Killed the TS with my 65 druid yesterday, and he dropped the earring.... my 40 warr twink (Camped in ME) is VERY happy!
Seems to be a rare drop. I killed the TS maybe 5 or 6 times, and this is the first earring that I've seen. Hard camp to hold though, due to the timing on pop..

Got this off A Thought Stealer in ME while camping for shards. Looted with my 57 druid, not a bad earring. 20 ac is nice, wish mine had that kind of ac...
I was playing this morning before work like I normaly do and this big fraking sucker bounding over the top of the hill near the Akheva zone. Pulled him and with my 61 Sk, 55 Shammier and wifes 59 Rogue took him down with ease. It dropped the earring which my Shammie now sports! Didnt resist slow but fight took long enough where I had to slow him 2 times=p

Bit of a vent here. Ive spent nearly 3 levels of my druids life here. Killed the thought horror 15 times (no joke). 9 rings, 6 gloves and a few spells. . . no earring.
In this time Ive camped the various named goranga to twink my warrior and killed roughly 150 Xi Vius. No earring.
Can anyone confirm for me that this thing still drops? I'm tired of camping the silly worm and waking up in the middle of the night to kill its place holder.
<<EDIT>> Finally dropped the earring on 18th kill. Druid is a very happy camper.

This badboy earring actually dropped for our group when we camped the 1st Coteries when you hang a right in from the DSP zoneline. Now I've camped Coteries about 10 times for hours, and only seen this once... I rolled a pitiful "6" and felt more than a pang of envy when the BeastLord got it. "uhhmmm....Congrats!" grumble gumble...:)
So I'll be hanging around a bit more in ME until I can find this again. So basically it just isn't a Xi drop piece. I've seen Grodan's Idol drop a number of times, lots of the shrouded boots and occasional other loot, but this is NICE NICE NICE.

Although it was over a month of searching one finally did drop off the Xi's of course it is an uncommon item so the wait was expected. As for the arguement of rolling...this just goes to show how greedy we can be. Rolling has always been an obvious way of resolving who gets what on an item that can bennefit all. This earring is an upgade to almost everyone. Lets face it earrings with stats like this are hard to come by. I would say that those argueing against rolling are doing it for the simple fact that they are too wrapped up in themselves. Not the kind of people that I would like to find myself in a group with.

think it should just be rolled on by all wis and int caster =p corse my monk would love to take it from a greedy druid

*shrug* I'll throw in my two cents. It's all/all, I'd say everyone who helped obtain it deserves a chance at it.
I have to disagree. For a monk, warrior or rogue this is a soso earring. For a spell caster of any type this is an AMAZING drop. It would be a waste to see it go to a pure melee
Wrong again! 20ac on an earring is possibly better for them than the 8 wis/int and 50 mana for you. ALL should roll
when this item first came out and it was posted as common it was because it was common but VI nerfed the drop rate to very rare (0.5 percent chance )or there abouts from my experiance (i always lost rolls on it too =(

For sure I know this isnt common thats for sure! I killed 10 of those guys that drop it yesterday and not even one good item from him. I was wondering if anyone out there knew just how many of these guys I have to kill before I might be able to get this earring? Thank you if you can help.

In the end, Verant decides what class will use any particular item. In this case ALL/ALL tied in with stats that would benefit any class makes it clear to me that ALL Classes & ALL Races should get a shot at winning this item if it drops.

Minus the + to mana this would make a very good item in anyone's inventory. The AC is awesome, the WIS and INT is awesome for even the dumbest of melee characters. WIS and INT help with getting non weapon skills up and how fast they increase. Great for casters of all sorts too. I think that is why VI made it an ALL/ALL item. It is beneficial to every class in some way shape or form. The added Mana makes it nice for casters, but everyone can benefit from these stats in one way or another. Let's not argue who should get a shot at it or not. There is method behind the madness (sometimes) 8-)

I'm gonna have to agree with Davdq with that. the ac makes it any tank item, the wisdom and int make it a caster item too, for the classes to get the most usage out of it would be ranger,paladin,cleric,beastlord,shadow knight, or bard. they would use all the stats.

Monks would find it useful, especially with the recent resistance changes. Everyone knows that monks are very often pullers in many situations. So the resists and AC would be handy for them too. I will agree though that the hybrids and clerics would find this most useful. Just my take on it and for all you people who argue the point... get real your just being greedy.
On the same note, taking a 20ac earring away from a tank could also be considered greedy.....

Picked it up earlier today in ME off the Thought Stealer. Will gladly show anyone on Tholuxe Paells, it's on Aneron. Just come up and inspect since it's no drop and you'll see my Cleric wearing it.

It dropped off of a thought stealer in Maiden's Eye on 3/3/02 around 7pm pst. Was an easy fight, since our forces were walking out of umbral after a raid on Zelnithak. This mob can be soloed by a kiter or killed by one solid group, so 3 groups was overkill. Grats Mitsy!

Been making maidens eye my new home.. havn't been to freemart(nfp zone that saryrn does most of trading on) in almost a week GASP! =) Neways tons of shaded drops tons of spells tons of centi drops but no earing as of yet. Starting to wonder if only drops off the thought stealer? Nebody confirm drop on xi type mobs? Have yet to see the thoughtstealer, duno if groups I'm in could even attempt to take thoughtstealer ;)
