I thought when I got my Beer Stained Tunic in ToFS I thought the world of EQ had strangely become all too real but now this item pops up... In keeping with that theme of EQ immitaing life, I think Verant needs to make this item drop only on Saturday nights around 1am...
pfft This item is a copy !! The dwarves came up with the Disciple Symbol of Brell Way before these came out! ANd i must Say Brell's blessed Ale is much better than normal ale!
But i will give credit where it is due, Not all of us can be dwarven, so Find these Goggles, use these goggles and be merry! and if you run out of beer! look towards your local dwarven cleric to supply you with some of the best Stout you will ever find!!
well put Brother of the Cloth and child of Brell..:o)In fact the only thing that beats Brell's Blessed Stout is a full stack of Brell's Blessed Stout :o)..well good hunting and safe journey to all.
This has got to be one of the coolest and most fun items I've seen in a long time.. Manifest has an AT of 210 and a best friend Cleric of Brell who can summon beer... I WANT THESE GOGGLES!!
I'm not sure if ale had that effect but I remember noticing with at least some certain drinks that when you drink there is a certain point where some melee type stats go up while your smarts go down (which does make a little sense when you think about how rowdy you can get when you get totaly saused) which could actually be fairly useful for melee types.
Maybe verant finally decided to do something to make the alcohol resistance and brewing skills worth while now *shrug* If that's the case you can put these on so you can summon some drinks, and keep them on just to toss a few back and hopefully the higher alcohol resistance will help to increase the positive effects of drinking (hehe = P) and minimize the down sides like the blurry vision. Then once you've downed a a few bottles of brewed courage put your regular gear back on and go pick fights with ppl you'd be scared ******** of while sober = p
Yer wisdom and intelligence go down the tubes cause you are gonna be half in the bag soon, but your charisma goes up 'cause you now also have the effect of: "I'm BUYIN!"
Some stuff doesn't need to be uber. This is just fun.
Ever notice that if you get as drunk as you possibly can in game, your strength (and I think Stamina) goes up? Must be the reason that everyone always wants to start a fight when they are hammered.
this HAS to be a joke. i mean beer goggles? heh, it would be funny if it had an effect of "coyote ugly", which procs a zero casting time gate spell. ahhh man, this item just brings up too many bad memories.... ;)
Not with the cap @ 200. I picked up Gloves of the Brood (+3 pick lock) and my rogue is capped at 200 til 51. I'm pretty sure it's the same with the beer goggles and AT.
The gnome or d0rf cleric's of Brell Serillis have a quest that gets them a neck piece that summons 20 beer at a time. My bro has it and gets out trading zone Drunk all the time. This item would be awsome for the all/all but it kinda takes away my bro's uniqness.

i've been waiting for VI to add more stuff for characters to wander around with and be unique with...but to add stuff that gives alchohol and reisitance against alchohol....WOOHOOO!
This could just be a clever joke...but if they come out with skill boosts for other things...e.g. gem crafter picks or special sewing needles it could be interesting
