"Attack skill DMG: +## - A very good example of this Damage mod is backstab, so I'm going to use the Rogues special skill as the prime example. On the new Rogue epic Nightshade we see two modifiers to backstab. The interesting one in this context is "Backstab DMG: +15". This is damage that is directly added to your fixed damage . So if you normally hit for 600, you will hit for 615 with this effect. Sources indicate that this damage is not mitigated, and adds unmodified to your total damage score. As of yet, no rogues have accumulated enough of this gear to verify where the cap is, but one would assume that it might be around 100-150. As another example, Monks have a Flying Kick DMG: +15 on their epic 2.0 wich works the same way."
So, no, your average backstab wouldn't be going up 100.
That dont jive Primist the Silent, if you get the + 2 dmg aug, it adds +2 dmg to your weapon.. there for a 15 / 19 would end up a 17 / 19.. so going off the other gear that has + dmg it should add to the weapons dmg bass , but only when being used as a backstap.
Have to admit, its probably the bes tradeable rogue shoulders ive seen. But since its rogue only, i would just wait for the price to drop to around 30k. +5 to bs and 10attack isnt actually worth that much nowadays
What does the Backstab damage +5 actually do? It isn't a percentage, because Fatestealer has both a BS damage and % modifier. Does the damage add to the damage done, or does it add to the damage of your weapon? Meaning, if I have a 25/15 Ragebringer, does it take a BS to 20 instead of 15?
It adds to your BS damage. If you would have BSed for 130 (min at lvl 65 with no mod) you would BS for 135. Add in the Gloves from GoD(20), The aug from LDoN(20), and the BP from time (20), you would BS for 165 min at lvl 65.
just commenting that your math is a lil off, with the shoulders(5), the time bp(20), the gloves(20), and the ldon aug(20), that would be +65, so at level 65 with a min bs of 130, you'd bs for minimum of 195 =)
