Pisses me off how much good WIS gear there is that clerics and shamans, or even hybrid classes, can wear, but druids can't touch because it is "considered chain or plate".
Druids have the lowest starting WIS cap of all WIS casters, and we get screwed on gear too.
Hi whiny. No, Shaman would have the honor of the lowest starting wisdom. Don't know whether or not druids get screwed on gear, just thought I'd clear up your final statement :)
If people actually look at normal items that are attainable, and are looking for an AC/Wisdom item, this item certainly ranks highly.
Silver Bracelet of Speed (AC: 38 Wisdom: 10) Bracelet of the Deep Sea (AC: 22 Wisdom: 0) Bracelet of the Sky (AC: 22 Wisdom: 0) Matchless Dragonhorn Bracers (AC: 15 Wisdom: 12) Peerless Dragonhorn Bracers (AC: 14 Wisdom: 11) Wolf Caller's Bracer (AC: 16 Wisdom: 7) Spirit Caller's Bracer (AC: 17 Wisdom: 4) Heavy Dragonhorn Bracers (AC: 13 Wisdom: 10) Reinforced Dragonhorn Bracers (AC: 12 Wisdom: 9) Worked Dragonhorn Bracers (AC: 12 Wisdom: 8) Rune Crafter's Bracer (AC: 13 Wisdom: 3) Jaundiced Bone Bracer (AC: 14 Wisdom: 0) Coldain Military Wristguard (AC: 10 Wisdom: 6)
Yes it is not as good as the top 3, which are all no-drop. It has 3 older brothers that are a bit better, but of the 3 Velious "Quest Armors", only Skyshrine would be chosen by most in preference. Kael is about equal. It beats a pre-Velious item (AC/WIS) for a Shaman hands down.
So no one can go say "this is great for this, this is great for that" first off, its great for anyone that needs wisdom, and charisma is always an added bonus. Definitely not SK, sk's are intelligence casters. Not really war or rogue, again, not casters, and wis of nine is awesome. So it'd have to be a wisdom caster. sry. At least, that's what i'd figured. I'm sure it would help out everyone else on this list too, awesome item verant!
Shallana Wolfbane Circle of Veneratio Tholuxe Paells
Dropped off one of the wandering dragons in WW, cleric friend of mine won the roll on it. Looks like a dark dark green chainmail with Velious chain graphics, pretty funky.
Well I am a cleric and I was overjoyed to get this item. Much better than the bracer of the reverant I had, and I can always use charm to buy those peridots =)
Whats lame is ragging a 12 Ac +8 WIS bracer. I got mine for 1800pp which was a hell of an upgrade mana/AC wise than my sentry bracer ( which Ill still keep for resists). Good shaman bracers are hard to find w/o being in a good guild or having a crapload of pp cause we cant wear plate. There arent too many bracers that have this much AC in this price range let alone have +8 WIS on top of that. Sweet bracer till I can get quest or planes gear.

Well, I'm a ranger and I don't really give a damn about this bracer. The ac is nice but I don't care about the cha and wisdom and would rather go for the melee oriented stats. I would choose to wear Hero bracer over this one any day of the week. In my humble opinion, it is best suited for clerics and shamans.
They're clearly made out of chainmail, hence unusable by Druids. Pity, but that's the way it goes.
And its *alway* nice to have more options, eh? It would make nice Ranger, Cleric, and Shaman wear, I think. +9 Wisdom on the wrist is nothing to scoff at.
