I have one of these on the RN server. I paid i think 300pp from some uber thats had like 5x better. I as a ranger have trouble finding items with high ac. I used this till I got a tolans bracer and my Thurg bracer.
For some of us this is a good duel for the hero bracer if you cant get better.
I cant get more than 500pp offers for it though.
I always get the "so and so is only 500pp and better ac"
but what all the plate classes don't understand is that for rogues / rangers and any one else who can only where chain, this is a great bracer even though it doesnt have any stats.
Think some people have become to acustom to haveing uber gear and twinks in full cobalt.
Even thought it is obtainable to them some of those part timers can get some us out of this.
For some of us this is a good duel for the hero bracer if you cant get better.

I hate how people think "monks" are the only people good for wearing something if it's low wt and has decent AC. What about silver chitin wristband? Why don't you go and say that's the best thing for a monk? has same wt better ac / stats. I mean come on people, just cause things are low wt doesn't mean they are monk items.

My Iksar Monk currently uses :-
Dark Rust Bracer - Ac10 Sta3 Wt3.0
Silver Moon Bracer - Ac6 Sta1 Wt0.1
This would be a huge, massive, incredible upgrade on the ******* Moon. Iksar just don't get a choice. Any of the other classes which can use this (except Druids) will already have superior or equivalent Ac items in the slot.

I would Like to point out that this is a very good item for BST. At 13AC it has more ac than most of the other items I'm wearing.

I kinda find it strange that no other stats are added considering the name. Or even an effect. But he does make a good point that it could be a quest item. And it is pretty good ac for a monk. And it isn't that bad of weight either. And no, I'm not saying its only for a monk. Just good for one.

Enough with the "this would be good for a monk" bull crap, its annoying, and I'm beggining to hate monks. It seems that anything below 1.0 WT is "only good for a monk" woopty crap! anything with that low of weight is good for anyone, and any class, so stop complaining, if you don't like that there isn't alot of low weight equipment or whatever for monks, then shut the hell up, and make a different character. But I hate looking at a good peice of equipment, and have 5 monks, explain why no other class should get this item, and how its good for a monk. STOP!!!! Your annoying and spamming, and no one honestly cares!

Ok, it has absolutely nothing to do with freedom of speech. He's not saying that you shouldn't be allowed to state your opinion; he's just saying that it's completely unnecessary to say that an item like this is good for a monk. Every item with high ac and low weight is basically guaranteed to get about 35 posts saying that it's good for a monk. Of course it's good for a monk, that's a nobrainer. Say that you wish you had this for your monk; say that your monk would give anything for this; just don't say that it's good for a monk.

Ever notice how the flamed posts include the gear that says "Monk" and always is about "Monk" but NONE of them log in or ever sign their names? someones just trying to make allakazams posts just like Everquest's boards.

It may be good for other classes too, but don't go flaming someone just because they said it's good for a monk. They DID NOT say that it was for monk ONLY, so chill. This bracer is very nice for Iksar monk. High AC wrists for iksar monk are few and faaaar between. Well, at least now this bracer can be between.

I play an 56 Iksar Monk.
You chaps dont seem to realise how little there is for Iksar monks for wrist slot (Since we cant wear plate like human monks).

Note the fact gentlemen that it is a lore item... has anyone bothered to try to identify it? It obvoiusly not ment to be worn if its dropping in the dragon necropolis.... ac 13 with no stats? hahaha not there.
