I swear to god someone used higher end player, and seb gear in the same line........
I got one with my newbie druid *lvl 10 at the time* in Butcherblock off a goblin or something that i was killing. I didn't realize i had looted it till I went to sell and the vendor was willing to pay me 20+ pp for it....at home in Kelethin the vendor would pay me 26pp but was told in a pc it was worth 2k. Does it normally drop off lowbie mobs or did someone put it on one? Thanks

A player gave the gob that sword. And it's not worth 2k. Lamentation is worth 2k, but the lamentation blade is not. The 2k sword is 1hs, this is 2hs.
ya, as i suspected, this is a pretty old post, i could tell cause it was in da old school days when lammy was worth 2K, but now, a good deal is 500plats, and normal is about 700. I'm guessing, nowadays that this lamentation blade is worth...30plats maybe, although, probly free if you begged someone, anyways, i know this didnt help much, just wanted to make sure that peeps knew lammy aint worth 2K, and this was a old post. I would never use this blade. Delay 52? You gotta be kidding...
For 1k on Bertoxx you can get a 30/43 +15 Wis +25 Mana Arbitor's Combine Greatsword.
But yes, your damage bonus with this weapon will be higher...but while you are waiting to swing and *miss,* you get hit 5-6 times.

There are cases where a high delay weapon is a GOOD thing to have... like when soloing a mob with a damage shield... then you want to hit hard, not fast. And the damage bonus you get for using a 2-handed weapon helps in that case.

Never say never. Sure the ratio on you combine is outstanding, but this still has a very nice ratio. Wisdom and mana, a nice boost but what will that do for a warrior. Now str and sta a warrior could use. Further, the combine weighs 9.9, pretty good for the ratio. The lamention is 1 pound lighter, with the +5 str bonus that makes this essentially a 4 pound sword. My warrior could use this.
If anyone is using this they suck as a tank. Trust me on this one. Sorry but the dmg is nice but the delay is horrible. Do yourself a favor and switch to 2hb and get an Imbued Fighters Staff. 38dmg 40dly on that weapon. Delay is 12 less then this weapon and 13 more dmg. Gee i wonder which one i would rather have.

the IFS is monk only weapon why in the Blue hell would you bring ( use a IFS up when a monk could not even use this ) !!!!!!! or warrior or any other class us a staff god

The Imbued fighter's staff (quoted at 16,000 on Allakhazam, but seen for 6000 on my server) drops in Sebilis, and would be prime bazaar loot.
This weapon you can find on NPC vendors when PCs who have better find they can't sell in bazaar (Tranus Ironstove on 7th Hammer has one right now, which is why I came to this page).
Never forget that a player whose primary is a 30th level warrior isn't going to see the kind of weapons that the higher-end (not "uber", just higher end) players will consider acceptable. This weapon would be a fine choice for them, and with a dmg/delay like this they should be able to hold agro with little difficulty.
When they can get better, they should (especially because the delay will slow their skill increases), and I would probably go for buying a Weighty Polearm in the bazaar over paying what an NPC vendor would change for this... still, I'm tempted to buy it and give it away to a mid-level warrior, if for no other reason than the fact that people were good to me when I was low-level.

I have to agree with you Nixoh, this is actually a decent weapon when your not main tank and you want to keep your taunt down or against something with a damage shield. I'm like you my main is a lv 47 sk on drinal and I don't have the money to buy anything uber or can get into the groups/raids to get anything uber/high end right now (most uber piece of gear I have on is schw for 2.2kpp).
And for all of you that bash stuff like this; First you need to see where it drops and what expansion the item came out in. Then realize how long ago and how many expansions ago, that was. Here's an idea try playing the game without buying anything that wasn't actually made by a person; taking almost no handouts and/or using only the stuff you can loot yourself with the character that you are using and not going to a high level zone and waiting for something to drop off of a mop no one wants(i.e. goranga spiked club) or by buying off an npc vendor, the way the original people played the game. Puts the game in a whole different perspective, try it sometime; almost willing to bet you won't be able to keep at it....

I bought mine for 83pp on Ayonoe Roe server. The sword is ok, but I only bought it to train my 2h slashing skill.
Why such a high delay weapon to train 2hs? Seems kind of silly and will probably take you an extremely long time. Its been a few months since your post. Whats your experience with it? Did it increase as much as you hoped? This weapon stinks and rightfully so 4 expansions into everquest.

If you are on Brell, go to Bubar and buy it as I sold this piece of merchant fodder to him. You post 40 players ought to be embarrased. Here's why: The delay on this is 52. Sure, the damage appears to be high as well but with a large delay, remember your precious HP is dwindling more as it is taking more time to dispatch your foe. Also keep in mind that in higher levels, your role is a tank. The spells you have (if any) are low level which makes a good irritant to help taunt, but you are not considered a caster! Therefore, you are expected to take damage and taunt like hell to keep it off the casters. Come on... this is EQ 101 here, not rocket science! On melee weapons, aggro is driven not from dmg but from hitting. We melee types need fast weapons, even if we don't do a fair share of dmg, we have to keep that aggro! That is why we have more AC than casters. Caster types, help me out here and school these boys!
i still dont understand why such a crappy weapon sells for 1k. I personally think this weapon sucs. Id rather use Blackened iron ******* sword .. (well maybe not)

I'm going to start an argument I know it, but here's how you figure out the delay on this thing with an fbss. I'm using the haste listed on monkly business for the fbss (those monks usually know their stuff) at 21%. So with that, the delay here would become 43. [ delay/(1+item haste)]
This weapon kind of sucks in my opinion even with an FBSS.

why is this worth 18k??!! its has the same damage as an exe axe, only it 2 more delay, and no proc.

i got mine for about 2 k on karana
I prefer to use a Black Alloy ******* Sword over this weapon. Stats are 24 Dmg, 39 Dly, 3 SvP, 2.5 Weight. its just 1 Dmg less, but a whole lot faster and lighter. My WAR is dealing some pretty good damage with it, hehe.
Found out it's worth something like 400-500pp on Xev, and the delay is 54, well on mine it is.
Can some people please start posting better prices... samoht just spammed his cheap prices so he could ruin it's rep... I'm selling it on Drinal now (need 1HS at the moment) and feel cheated that this great sword (look at the people using it) is price spammed and people think it's cheap.

Unfortunately, this blade just isn't worth 22k. Its not even worth a tenth of that, these days. Back before Kunark, perhaps it was worth more, but there are many alternative weps that are better than this out these days, that are easier to get. The Black Alloy ******* sword, which goes for about 300, is an excellent wep, up into the 40s, and the Arbitors Combine Greatsword flat blows this out of the water. The arbitors went for about 9kpp tops, once it got into circulation, and I've seen them go for 2kpp lately. Its unfortunate that you can't sell what is, after all, a decent wep for more, but when there's better out there, it may be too much to hope.

I use this puppy all the time as a secondary tank... I can do some MAJOR damage with this item and the plusses to STR and STA are really nice.
Delay keeps hate down, but when I double in the high 80's, sometimes I get worse aggro... and i'm an iksar... imagine what an Ogre could double for...

i have a lamentation blade on Xev, and the stats on it are 25dmg 54 dly.... other stats remain the same..... did they alter the delay of the weapon?

The damage (25) and delay (52) on this weapon are correct. I use this weapon myself.

i had one and it's ok went back to exe axe cos this thing really ain't that good ran a choice tween this ,nathar greatsword ,ex axe ex axe won traded nath for mith 2 hander and used that when i sold ex axe heh this thing is not a good sword but the buffs are ok

I know its not right but what if there is such a weapon. That would really be godlike. Do you think you can take Nagy or Vox with a cleric at level 50? or 55? or 60? Probably not.
