I am Grakus a 44th seasoned Enchanter on the Sullon Zek server.Used to lvl here back in the day so I know my way around down there.On my server now everytime i run thru its always empty.The fact is I have cloth arms,head,shoulders and shoes and gloves.So tonight im gonna summon my 44 pet Celerity it and give it a weapon AE mez everything and harvest All Muslin Equip.Ill let ya knowhow it turns out

Got off named Gob wiz on lvl 3 in RE (wanted the damn ammy)

Looted this the first day of the new Runnyeye with my Gnome Wiz.
As is my habit with low level loot that really cant be sold for much and that I have no use for on any of my characters, I usually give away to untwinked noobs (bronze armor, etc). When I looted this I instantly thought "WOW this would make some monk noob's day" and did a /who all monk 1 10. I'm sharing all this with you becayse it really amused me that of the 15 on at the time that weren't in Qeynos (not going all the way there for a hand out) that i could access or spoke to, not a one of them was untwinked. Oh the state of things these days hehe.
As for the looks: I put it on the gnome and it looked like leather. It may look different on another race but on a gnomer its leather.
Actually, I still have this. If anyone on bertoxx wants it give me a shout.

OK no one has answered the important question, What does this dark muslin stuff look like? Is it like cured silk but black? Is it like raw silk? is it black? is it orange? Hmm what does it look like?

These are a hell of alot easier to find than a Wu's cap - especially if you're new to the game and don't know any pro tailors.
Its a fine item for a teen level monk to get.

Spot the anonymous newbie. Runnyeye has never really been what I would call a newbie zone, and certainly isn't now. Lots of goblin wizards down there.

Monk item? hello, low lvl monks would die for this

To the low level monks considering dying for this: Hunt spiders, then either become a tailor or /auc for one. I know many tailors who would be very happy to trade a Wu's Fighting Cap for a stack of silk swatches: AC5, Wt. 0.1, AGI +3.
So, monks can easily get better, and casters are going to want INT or WIS on their head. Nobody is really going to wear this.

Why would it be for a quest? It drops in a newbie zone, that would say why its a newbie item.

It doesn't drop in a newbie zone, it drops in Runnyeye according to the info above.
Unless you are calling 'newbie zone' anything under lvl 35 ...
