Im not sure monks, or even anyone, will want to use this. Its a novel idea, but the ratio is pretty lousy. Fighting with this, especially for a monk, wouldnt be a reall slick idea. The low damage means you're doing mid 40s-50s damage max, so you better be praying for lots of Double Attacks, plus stun is one of those uber taunts that will really **** off the mob, another bad thing for monks. Even soloing, monks need more damage output than this. Its a novel weapon, but not really that great. We're looking into the fashion factor here.

6.7 stone is uncomfortably heavy for a monk, though not as bad as it could be, I suppose. Still, its got that cool "Tetsubo" look.

I think it would be better for a tank class, as another way to stun. Though at the level you could get it, there's quite a bit better (heck, I picked up a Drakkal Forged Sledgehammer with a much better ratio off of a Frost Giant Scout blue to a 40.) Decent to sell, I'd say, but probably nothing you'd use at that level.

Still, variety in a under-used category is nice to see.

The use for this weapon, at the level you can get it is not as a mainline weapon, but as a trainer.

If I got my hands on a grantite facegrinder, I'd be looking for this stick to train up the skill.

Same as what I did with a Nashir's Greatsword and 2hs
I'd take it for a spin

Since my usual weapon is still my Adamantite Bo (wt 6.5 and I'm still a few stones under) at 44. This could be a fun stick to swing, fast enough to get some procs happening.

Ohh and FYI a stun proc will interupt castors, something all monks can use!

Any info on Carpenter Grundo ?
No one cares who you think it should go to.
# Jun 01 2001 at 11:06 PM Rating: Decent
To the dork that keeps posting it shoudl go to such and such. No one gives a **** what you think, get over it and take your oppinions somewhere where people give a **** what you think, cause it aint here.....
Stop wasting our bandwidth.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 01 2001 at 10:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Even though this item is useable by many classes it would go to a monk, warrior, paladin, ranger or shadow knight before any one else got a shot at it. Since it is a no drop item it is given only to someone who would use it
RE: Who it would be given to

This is one of the few times that I kick myself for not using my blunts.

Your skill in 1hb/2hb has risen! (2)

/sigh
Well...
# Jun 01 2001 at 6:32 PM Rating: Good
Sure, it's ratio isn't as good as a Bamboo Bo Stick, but that AC is very nice and the low delay can mean a lot of chances for the stun to proc.
Please note
# Jun 01 2001 at 6:16 PM Rating: Default
This item isn't MNK only folks. I'm sure other classes such as druids or shamen might not mind it (assuming that there are druids and shamen out there who still melee a little).
RE: Please note
# Jun 02 2001 at 1:54 AM Rating: Default
Not only is it not a monk-only weapon, it's not really a monk weapon at all!

It weighs >>> 6.7 <<< !!!

Nic epicure of the monky holding it, but he can't be dumb enough to take it with him into combat. :)
RE: Please note
# Jun 02 2001 at 4:09 PM Rating: Decent
It does have 11ac on it... that would somewhat counter-act the weight of it, if a monk wanted to use it....
The looks are what makes it
# Jun 01 2001 at 5:53 PM Rating: Default
Yeah, its a cool effect, and as a weapon its marginal, but it looks like a big bat covered with spikes. REALLY makes you look like you're gonna thug someone. :)

I was in a group playing my de cleric when this club dropped, and since there were no tanks, I got to loot: I absolutely love it! It is a super fun weapon, with a nice look to match. The stun does get resisted sometimes, but it can last a few seconds, and its nice. But its a fun weapon foremost.

And to the guy who posted "!pu kcuf eht worG" to the guy who used the word 'thug'... The only person that needs to grow up is yourself.. You're probably just hateful because you are/were such a social outcast that you feel hate towards people with their little social groups and words: Geez, just let people have their fun and speak how they want: Lighten up! And show a little more love, it'll help your soul. Later.

A. Thug in the sense you are thinking is the slang term for them low rollin ganstas

B. Thug is also a bully type gangster. you know, the no neck Guido guys.

C. With a bat, it could go either way, but more the way of B
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 01 2001 at 7:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) All he said was thug you dumbass. And what does that have to do with being dyslexic? *********
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 01 2001 at 6:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Aight dis just not cool main! Chill AIGHT!
effect: Stun...
# Jun 01 2001 at 5:29 PM Rating: Default
well, being that its 2hb and the delay/damage is worse than a cane of tranq... I hope the stun effect is good.

the AC is a cool additive, but the effect is the only thing that seems like it would make it worth weilding
