This is a great belt for new player who have no money, they can easly buy it in Bazaar for less that it should be worth. Or they can get in for free buy fighting in runneye
I think it was mentioned, but can someone give me a list of all of the pieces of this? I'm aquiring all black armor for my cleric, and so far I have the black enamel chestplate and some blackened iron legs. This looks pretty good to fill it out with. Email at kittywitch100@hotmail.com, please, and thanks in advance!! ^_^
Why don't you just use the search option under the equipment link list on the right side and enter the keyword 'black', 'blackened', 'black alloy' or something similar? :-)
The BA Girdle can drop off any mob on the bottom floor. like all the other Alloy. but it is not the common drop as posted. And there is no longer a set spawn piont for the names as before, they can spawn at any spot a gob can on the bottom floor. makes camping a single mob hard. and the Blackened iron parts is the common drop and alloy is uncommon. And one other thing i have noticed while down there trying to get a alloy mask for my SK. is that one day BA long sword will drop, and on the next BA batard sword will drop. and that any of the mobs on the bottom floor can have them aswell, but have never seen both drop on the same day.
Add me to the me too list. Picked up a ton of Blackened Alloy, Black Iron, stuff down here in one afternoon as well as seeing the BALs drop 3 or 4 times (I already had one so couldn't get another) and the BABs once. So they definately can drop in the same day. Unless you mean they don't drop in the same game day which I couldn't tell you because I was down there for several real life hours and didn't keep up the the game time.
Yup! Same here, then about an hour later we had the grotesque alloy mask drop then 30 mins later we had the black alloy medallion drop.
Not too bad for a group of people who were down there who weren't farming.
Note though, I held a raid there a week or two later and within two or three hours of killing everything in sight, we had nothing drop. But we still had a lot fun.
I spent several days in Runnyeye with my 32 Warrior and discovered that most if not all the Blackened Iron armor still drops off the 2nd level Goblins, the new Blackened Alloy armor drops off the Pickclaw Destroyers and the named ones (other than Sludge Dankmire who still drops the Icon of the Constant for the Cleric Quest BP). The Blackened Alloy Head, Waist, and Neck armor appears to be the only stat raising armor. The rest is now better than Banded and magical. Not to mention that kick-**** black look. The Blackened Alloy Amulet drops ONLY off named Gobbies like the Lord, Battlelord, and whatever other ones there are. I was only able to kill the Lord once since he was camped all the time, but for me on my first and only kill he dropped the Coif which is +6 Str and an ********* of resists. Very nice. Also, I almost died, even at my level, from the gang-ups and caster's spells (especially the Pickclaw Slayspell who had 170+ DD fire spells) so my advice is if you are only there for equipment and not XP, make sure you have a tank and a healer. If you do, it won't be much work as everything is low blue and green and there should be no risk of dying. Only problem might be the Lord, but even he ain't no biggie. Also, STAY AWAY FROM THE EVIL EYES. I cannot stress that enough. They are vicious and a group of 3 Eyes killed a pair of 51's (Druid and Enchanter). Have fun!
The blackened alloy waistband (AC 7, wt 2.0, no stat bonuses) and the blackened alloy bracer (AC 8, wt 1.5) also drop (not listed here as of this posting). But from what I can tell there is no blackened alloy upgrade of the blackened iron eye totem, collar, or boots. As before, there is no blackened earring or ring. Anyone who knows different please post here.
Ok, the collar has been found. It's AC 7 and weight 1.5. Now we just need the blackened alloy eye totem and the blackened alloy boots and our upgrade list will be complete.
Ive been hunting in Runnyeye for about a week and Ive looted 2 of these off a pickclaw destroyer. That is a better alternative way to get it than from the lord for somebody who is in their mid-20's. The battlelord also drops BA armor a lot.
Spiked Steel Wrap is Ac8 hp20 wt2.5. As a Iksar Warrior I get 6 HP per point of Stam. Would getting this item (which weighs less) give me 10 more HP or is there some kind of cap on how much Stamina helps your hit point total?
Actually, I'll be looking for one of these for my Rogue! 5 Stamina is exactly what I'd like to see and I am certainly willing to dump 2AC (raw) off the Strawspun for it.
Yes, I agree. Been trying to get my ranger's STA up over 100 so his stats stop dropping when he runs out of fatigue points and this will certainly help!
Finally a belt with respectible AC and a useful stat. Plate classes will probably go for something better, but for the chain classes this is one of the better AC items.
