Average price 4887PP??? Is this a joke?? I bought one in bazaar recently for 50PP. Nice weapon for a lowbie. Damage ratio splits the difference between a Centi SS and LS only without the stat buffs and a lot cheaper to buy than either Centi. If damage ratio is all you're after and buffs don't concern you, this is the one you should look for and save your leftover cash for other things.
LOL! My price entry lowered the average to 500PP!!
Did they nerf the speed/haste bonus on this? I haven't noticed any difference since acquiring this item that I don't attribute to the damage ratio increase over what I was using before.

...a Drakkel Forged ******* Sword, exactly. Maybe helpful if, like me, you don't know what a Guardian Sword looks like. Very nice weapon, very hard to find.
Does this thing really increase your attack and run speed like it says in the description?? and if so how much, if anyone has this wepon and has any info on this it would be greatly apriciated :)

Has no noticable effect on running speed. I don't think it has any haste effect either. It is faster than my old weapon, but thats just the 26 delay, not some hidden haste effect. If this was ever true for this sword, I don't believe it is any more.
I tried running and removing/replacing the sword in my primary melee slot, using a hotkey, and there was no burst of speed, or slowdown. One of my characters has jboots, and he speeds up/slows down significantly, when I click the boots/remove the effect. So if there is any effect, it is too small to notice. I doubt there is one. i have a mithril 2h sword, and it has effect:haste right on the description. This says nothing.
This is just a really nice, fast sword, with a 2 ratio. Better than centi shortsword, and almost as good as centi longsword. No stats, so I'm guessing the real post luclin value is 1k or so. Pairs up nice with a centi shortsword, and can get both for less than the price of ONE centi longsword.
Large dragonbone shard/centi shortsword is a great combo for the less twinked warrior or other melee class. Plus, its a lot less gaudy looking than the centi longsword, if you'd prefer to avoid the pimp blade look. It does look like a 2 handed sword, which will make people really wonder, when you have another weapon, or a shield in your other hand.

The graphics are so boring on this now. Wish they would change it to look better again.

It use to look like the staff until a patch a few months ago gave it the guardian sword look. Figures they gotta kill the cool graphic.

Hiya all.
Just wanted to say that my Warrior is using this weapon in primary melee and it does look like a long sword not like that staff on the picture above. Perhaps it looked like that in the beginning but Verant has changed it to look like a long sword.

Not sure where that picture is from but i got one and it has a short sword icon and looks like a short sword when you wield it. Not sure where you get the stafff look from.

I was in Fp the other day which my "Twinked War" and after about 10 inspects or so someone asked me the stats..well after telling them it was one handed slash and the stats I was offered 15k for it...needless to say I sold it and down the Road won another to give to my War. Im not saying this is a Norm price mind you...just letting ya's know what ive gotten for it =)

my warrior is 46 and he's got this weapon in his primary (can only use in primary) and a Sarnak Skull Splitter in his offhand. This is an excellent weapon. Personally I've never had a lot of plat so I do it the old fassioned way...I kill stuff :P and yes...this is a good weapon for any warrior/melee type, prob till you get to about mid 50's and you need something that will generate more taunt.

First this weapon is not a fake. It has that look, internal sources of Verant i asked said the look is ok so far and there are no plans to change it. It looks like the Staff of Gathering and it will remain that look.
The iconless adds on haste are rather minor and yes it stacks with haste items like CoCW or CoF or RBG. It is not that tremendous add just a bit. We found out via testing slash on time. Without it i slashed 72 times in 32 seconds and with it 78 times. Not that big.
The iconless Running add is something i dont understand at all. Only thing i can say is - u run a lil bit faster. Nasty when u lead a group because u always have to wait.
The adds will be patched because the running speed is a thing that was added while it was on testserver and those adds are posessions. It will be shown when identifying an item. This feature is not implemented so far or not working properly. Sources of Verant told me the adds will be fixed (no info in what).
To the joker down there. HE dotn know me at all. Because if he would know that i am not going to sell or trade because i in common dont do that at all. If u want that weapon go to Dragon Necropolis and get one. I am not the first who has this weapon, even not on Solusek Ro. I just had the luck to be the first who posted.
I think the weapon is a good weapon but there are far better than that in Dragon Necropolis. The weapon is very heavyweighted so not the best weapon at all for hispeeddmg dealing. Always have acumen up is for sure the best.
Look is great and i love the weapon really. It is dropped by the Dragon Constructs in DN at the beginning of zone. Our guild found 2 so far.
I got mine from my Ranger Brother Escado Demonwolf who won the weapon in the lotto and gave it as a gift to me because he had better weapons.

Just so every one knows before the FanFaire this was a awsome lookingm sword with a gem and runes that ran up the blade and it was huge just great looking wpn. then it changed too this afterward. I realy realy hope when they fix this they give it back its orginal graphic and not a normal lame graphic.... and it is a great wpn :)))

this is just like that torch. in slot it looks normal but in hand it looks like the staff og gathering.
There were problems when they introduced the graphic for the Staff of the Gathering (Fan Faire item, not GM Event) which caused it to appear with torch graphic items.
The graphic is a staff with a golden bird on it. A dragonbone shard should look like a sharp fragment of dragonbone. Expect this equipped graphic to be fixed soon.
Don't spend your money or time on this item if all you want it for is the looks. It will change.

Some person in Lake of Ill Omen was smacking down sarnaks with one of these..figured it to be some cheesy weapon with horrible stats and an odd look...guess I was wrong.

HE probably had the Staff of the Gathering. Same graphic and was given out to the winners of something-or-other at that convention they had. It was supposed to be a unique look though, this is most likely a bug which will be replaced with another graphic soon.

I doubt verant would make an item that looks exactly like a fanfair item.

This isn't fake. I saw one in DL today, on the Tuanre Server. And VI would certainly use the same look for two items. To do otherwise would be making more models than they need to, which means more lag.

I actually saw and inspected this person yesterday in sebilis, had no clue it was a new item. so yes it exists.

This item isn't a fake. Our guild has looted a few of these in DN off of Chetari (rat-people). The are pretty uncommon, but we are probably seeing one every 1-2 nights we raid the place.
The inventory icon is that of a short sword - which I was displeased with, but the graphic when held is definitely cool. It's a nice offhand weapon ) I'm not so sure about the increase in attack and running speed, however...

thanx. its weird though, i was doin the Moggok Quest, and this Newbie has a staff that looks just like that, and upon inspecting her, it was a torch, plain and simple. when she took it out of her inv, then put it back in, it was a torch, but for a sec, it looked like that staff. i wanted one ever since.so, a GM event item, dang. well, thx anyway. any info on this ones price?

Don't know, but I know one time a magician was carrying a Torch of Alna (mage focus item) and it looked like that item to me until he took it out of his hand and back in.
And this item is rare enough and good enough that I doubt anyone will be able to buy/sell one for a while.. I haven't seen any of these drop in DN on my server yet

My guess is that when you are weilding the weapon it has a haste and a small sow type effect that is iconless.

Yeah but haste belt/cloak items are like that but they still say Effect: Haste even though there is no icon. I think it's just an error. I doubt verant would suddently add unidentified effects on weapons.
