Hi was just wondering if lvl 45 was recommended or required. Would my lvl 42 monk be able to get a multiquest of this item? Just curious..... Thanks in advance.
Yep definitely NODROP as I discovered unfortunately thinking this was a quest for druid gloves..oofs I messed up..What a waste!!!!!!!!!..600pp for 3 crushed topaz..ack..ackk.....
This seems to be a nice substitution for the monk epic. Stats are nice, but I think you can get better items if you look around. Just my 2 cents. (Remember, Epic is a pain to get for most classes. Not everyone will have one) :-)
Of course its the same as the PoG armor! When Velious was released they came out with the velius armor, there were 4 different types, Coldain, giants, Dragons and Plane. They are all close to the same peices but with different names. If you are looking for better resists look at the ToV version of these items, if your looking for better AC look the Kael version. Its like that for every class, and most drops in PoG sept for a few like the druids drops on the second floor of hate, on the new mobs.
guys, right quick did calculations for the full set of gm. Here are the raw numbers:
ac58 hp160 sr42 dx8 sa13 ag22 ch0
m11 f11 p11 c11 d11 wt1.1
Now assuming that raw ac and ag translate up higher that makes
ac@1.5 = 87 @2.0 = 116
ag@1.5 = 33 @2.0 = 44
The other stats I think are direct transfers and don't need modifiers the full suit is nice at wt 1.1 however for a full suit the resists suck, for a full suit the ac sucks, for a full suit for a MONK theres not a lot of DEX, AGI, STR, AC. This i think is shameful since these stats are the same as the planar armour from POG. Notice that all this gear is magical and not just cloth. Which means it is supposed to have a magical dweomer. For a magical dweomer from a planar stand point it's pathetic. I agree with each of you that there are much better items and it would seem that whoever made this eq was actually going back to prekunark standards for monk. Remember the sashes and headbands? Shocking. Feel free to correct any of the math. It's still quite pathetic.
This has the exact same stats as the Fist of the Silver moon which is dropped in the Plain of Growth. You would hope that the plain armor would have better stats, but I guess its nice that you can quest for the same item if you can't get it to drop.
Well, since PoG isn't really any harder than kael arena, so why shold the drops be any better? I mean, come on, PoG is a money facttory... Yeah, some of the named are tougher, but most of the armor in PoG drops from yard trash, which can be partnered at 57 or so, solo'd by 60 depending on class. I go there to forage for fletching materials, and see single groups and partners there tooling the mobs all the time.
