Just a few sparkles. The map spot someone posted in the tunnels is correct though.

Add -149, -1817 to spawn location which is also in the tunnel.
I've picked up the Dragon Skull Fragments several times now, but the Task won't update. I'm not sure what I've done wrong, but this is frustrating.
Edit - As it turns out, the task didn't update when I collected the fragments, but once I handed them in to Barsin back in Kithicor, all the Task steps updated and I was able to complete the last step to Destroy the bone construct.

This is so dumb I made an account specifically to comment and provide screenshots.
First of all, open up necropolis_3.txt in your EQ Directory/maps/ folder and add in the following point. It's very possible it could be in other locations, but this is where I found it after hours of running around and searching. This location was down in the Chetari tunnels.
P 1818.9677, 147.7629, -258.3854, 0, 0, 0, 3, Dragon_Skull_Fragment
The following link will physically show you what you're looking for. As others have stated, it's not at all a physical item, but rather a portion of the ground that happens to barely sparkle with a yellow color: http://i.imgur.com/dl6ZfKY.jpg

Next to rock. You have to go to advanced display settings and Enable Bloom Lighting. There is nothing on the ground like the collectibles from the more recent expansions. It is literally an aura or bloom type glow coming off the ground that you have to identify and just click on. Huge Pain.

I too found it at this location. However this 'glow' is quite pathetic. I almost went right by it until I saw the ever so faintest bubbly golden glow coming from the GROUND just a few inches from the bones.
It says in the quest window that the dragon skull fragments are found in Kithicor.

Actually it says to collect and then return them which is done in Kithicor
This is part of halloween quest for bone fragments given in kithacoor, there are 2 locs I have found, the above posted one and a new one at -147, -1821, -256. If it's not at one, check the other. Both are in the tunnels on the way to zlandicar's room. It's a ground spawn that you can't see but you can see it's "a golden glow" on the ground. May be other spots but these are the 2 I use to do the quest. No mobs see invis on the way but there are some traps. Avoid them by haveing levi BEFORE entering DN and hugging the walls. 1 trap will spawn 4 adds (they don't see invis but somehow STILL find you), another will strip invis and other enchantments, a 3rd will sound an alarm calling mobs to you (who by the way, don't see invis but somehow STILL find you).

Typed that loc using /waypoint once I was near tunnel to Zlandicar. Took me directly to it.

Even with graphics on max you dont see a ground spawn. Instead you see a golden glow that is as big as a ground spawn. Add that to a tan ground and you have a hard time finding it.

Well, I spent 3 hours looking for this last night. I traversed every inch of the zone not blocked by a locked door and found nothing. This includes walking thru every tunnel. I dont think it spawns anymore or if it does, its in the little area behind the locked door
having the exact same problem right now that u did checked all posted locs with nothing there
