i would love to get this but i do not want to kill dwarfs they are a good race like the high elf cleric i play is there maybe a quest to get it or this just a kill the poor dwarf and steal her stuff item?

They are a good race? You must be joking, they are constantly conspiring to kill the giants. Also have you looked at them? They look undead and have skulls all over their armour and jewelry. Not exactly what I would consider a "good" race. They are simply trying to lure in unsuspecting people to join the dark side.

Honestly what Cleric would wear such a thing at lvl 60!!!!Once again Verants idea of loot balance...Hi im Lvl 60 and i want to downsize my breast plate to something i wouldnt give to a newbie....Good one Verant...

Actually I happen to know of a very good raid cleric that wears this and she is 60. She has no problems wearing this. Then again, she's probably the best cleric I've ever known.

eq isnt just about having a good mana pool etc...
look are important
if i was a lvl 60 cleric on some BIG raid would i wear this? of course not
if i was a lvl 60 cleric and just helping some people out, doing a quest, sitting around talking, would i wear this? of course i would. its a(imo) nice look, and it is a great trophy to show off and show places you've been(to kill dain)

I believe the reason robes can't be worn by dwarves, halflings, half elves, etc. is because Verant already has graphics for robes for high elves, dark elves, humans, etc. They are just too lazy or elsewise to make robe graphics for the races that don't already have it.

actually no it isnt...it has to do with the geometric shapes or something that would make it too hard to draw a robe on that model
and yes a dwarf drops it, but does he wear it?

When a Human "or something" puts on a Robe, the geometry of the Model does change. Why they didn't take the opportunity to add the same models to the other races with Velious is beyond me... the robed models actually have less polygons than the regular "arms and legs" model, so it probably wouldn't have been very much work, and the files were distributed on CD anyway so the "avoiding downloading big files" argument doesn't apply.
Having said that, I'd be VERY disappointed if they didn't allow for Robes with all the new Luclin models...

Just think of dorfs and halflings not getting robes as something that just 'is' and can't be avoided like iksar and druids not wearing plate. Not everyone can have everything, thats life... get over it.

Hey, I think this is a fairly nice robe. Very nice AC for a robe, or BP for that case. The WIS is nice for us clerics, and the mana is good for those over 200 WIS. Low weight is definite must have for a cleric that finds himself trying to run away from a mob on them. Dont let the purple look fool you either. The plainar armor for us clerics is purple if you didnt know or forgot. So dont worry about looking like an idiot =)
On a side note, does anyone know where this is dropped, what the level mob is, and how common it is?

The small races (except Gnome) don't have robe graphics, so they can't be given robes to wear.

Aye, it's the same with all of the other cleric robes (Crystal Covered Shroud and Burynai Legion Gi for example). They can only be worn by medium races.

Gnomes can wear crystal covered shroud.
And gnomes can wear robe of the seeker (clr robe).
So not all cleric robes are medium only.
