Eqtraders made a few adjustments in thier URL's - here's the new URL for woodelf talioring:

Does this mean woodelf kits are fixed?

I have been putting off tailoring since woodelf kits were broken (when you tried to make one, it only made a regular sewing kit.) Does anyone know if this post means that woodelfs can now make thier racial tailoring kit?

Yes, the kits have been fixed for a while now. A week or so after they were fixed, the oak-bark tannin got fixed. Now woodelf cultural tailoring is possible, as the above item shows.

VI made it so much work to make cultural / imbued armor and weapons it's hardly worth doing except if you really want to prove your crafting skill. The elements required to make this and other armor (especially the high elf enchanted chain) are either extremely rare, extremely expensive, or both. And while the stats are ok, you can find far better equipment by adventuring. It's not like Jewel Craft where, you can buy the metal, buy almost all of the jewels, and with one enchantment spell from your friendly neighborhood enchanter, you get the final product ~ and that product is worth the investment. These new armor pieces require scrounging, auctioning, and/or camping just to collect all the pieces, and then you can still fail trying to make it and have to start over. I guess for all the work these pieces end up being, I can't figure out who would ever go thru all that work just to make a mediocre product. I guess some crafty people just like the boast that they made all their armor. I would prefer the boast that I can max out my stats using items stolen off defeated foes, in half the time.

Maybe these studded pieces are capable of being done at lower levels. The Enchanted Chain Armor of the High Elves, on the other hand, while again having mediocre stats, require multiple diamonds per piece, a jewel that is found on 45+ lvl mobs. And at lvl 45, a +2 int shoe just isn't that impressive anymore.

Ah well. At least it's an option, albeit a pointless one.
High elves?

A piece of the Mithril Studded that's wearable by High Elves finally? That's a first.

I have no idea how long it's going to take me to build up my smithing skills, since our guild smiths are all Barbarians... I'd love to get some +wis legs. Maybe I can ask our halfling tailor.

Don't bother your halfling tailor, he can't help. This is woodelf cultural leather armor, it can only be made by woodelves.

The imbued version can only be equipped by followers of Tunare. The non-imbued version does not have this restriction, but is one less AC and has no bonuses. Last I heard, there has been no success at any imbuing other than for Tunare.

sorry to burst your bubble, but the cultural armor has to be made by a follower of the deity entirely (although i may be wrong the mithril studs) you need a tunarian smith to make you a special sewing kit in the kelethin forge, maybe the felwithe one since they are high elf wearable (dont even know if theres a forge there but hey) and you need a tunarian to make the legs for you too =T lotsa work, but i guess if you have high tailoring and can get the other pieces, its nice to have wis pieces everywhere
