Level 42 DE Rogue...soloed a lot all the way up until last night...I solo regularily cause very few people want rogues in their groups still...and also because i can solo...all it is is tactics and ability...
Never say a class can or can't do something (apart from the obvious, warriors can't mem spells ;) )
Because generally...you'll be wrong ;)

in Treebringers post it says Rangers cant solo after 20 without trouble...hmmm have you got a Ranger Treebringer?? or are you just hopeless??? I have predominately soloed my Ranger to near lvl 41 you are probably one of those dumbass Rangers that never maxed your Bow skills...well at 40 i can solo hillgiants till i run out of arrow supplies...takes me 6 stacks to knock one down and not even need to melee...so shut up if you dont know what you are on about...the bs i see people feeding to other newbies in here is incredible...ive also soloed a rogue to 14...thats 4 lvls over 10...so you are wrong there too...go back to EC

ER played a rogue to lv 14 hehe I soloed my rogue to lv 31 as a halfling killing anything I could find low or medium blue con- was able to solo an Aviak Avocet-wich was an awesome feeling and surprised myself no bs it can be done, I remade my rogue to a dwarf for the str because I was not happy with my damage output as a halfling- and made lv 16 with ease by soloing Dervish camp 2 -by the way a rogue or any class for that matter can do almost anything with the right gear and know how-cheers mates )

Here here, I still solo at 51 for good xp as a ranger. I think youre thinking warrior. Sure were no necro, but rangers can solo quite nicely =)

My warrior is level 30 and I solo with him (I've had good practice from playing my 42 SK solo) Just find low blues and have decent equipment and a lot of bandages, bandage up to half health, kill, bandage again, I went from level 25 to 29 in a day and a half (not constant play) at the WW giant fort with my half elf war, you can solo with any class if you know what your doing

you ever tried charm kiting? what kind of skill does that take? oh yeah, its a skill of sitting around for 2-4 minuites watching your pet kill it. but thats considered by many to be an art form (after you get it down its really quite easy, just takes attentivness). perhaps you should stop forming your ideas from flameplay and actualy PLAY the game.

Of course it does nothing. BUT all you need to do is swap something thats high AC and no stats for a lower AC with stats. Ever thought of that?

again, this is a quest item you idiots.. Half the people you group with for yelinak's kill dont even know the quest, or have bad giant faction, that is what measures the roll.. Enchanters, Shamans, Bards, every class has gotten the ***** head.
Before you call insult anyone because their class wants it, think a little, by this level the haste is nothing, they added it to be a bit more colorful.. Someone else can argu that tanks shouldnt get it because of the wasted int wis and mana..
Its an ALL ALL quest, so basically the person who went thru the night in SS without any real drops gets the roll for quest (unless you are lucky and most of the raid has bad faction, doesnt know about quest, or doesnt like questing, then the group just lets them loot, no roll needed, or you compete with 2-3 other rollers). Hell, enchanters can and will get any drop they need, by this lvl if your smart you have 250 jewelsmith skill, and it costs u practically nothing to just make a velium/plat diamond ring, or elec bd ear on the spot to soothe the other roller.
First Yelinak raid i was on had 4 rollers for the head, cost me EXACTLY 4.5k in gems ( i got a blue diamond roll earlier, so 3k ) to make the other three rollers a trivial bd earring to cancel there rolls :)
Hell, you can go to KC, COM, Kaesora, and any non planes zones to group at only lvl 34 as a chanter and still get a roll on the good stuff.. Just bring about 320 jaspers, and chain buff with Rune 3 in battle (watch agro), or assist the higher lvl enchanter with clarity and such (let him cast SLTW on the tanks and just mez).
It's the 250 jewelry skill that assures you a place in any group, just the fact that whenever someone loots a rare gem they have a free machine to combine it :)

Everything and its grandma in SoV has haste and is 20+ac while being all/all...yet all I ever see on these boards are tanks ******** and moaning cause other classes would benifit just as much from said items as they would this is an EVERY CLASS item and theres NO WAY you can tell me casters wis and int both shouldnt be in on 9wis/int gloves w/ 30AC.

Anyone who says past 1100AC does nothing has obviously never fought something that quads for 800s (many many things do...) it makes a LARGE difference... it might make a difference on something that you can easily kill, but something that dishs out thousands and thousands and thousands of damage the difference between 1100AC and 1500AC (Any lvl 60 iskar warrior can reach that with some good velious armor) will be thousands of damage...

Though the stats are nice, these are in no way better than CF. Just remember that the epic makes your fists 9/16 before haste and allow you to haste your fists even farther.

actually the MONK FA quest does... Combined with the RoWF and a CoF monks can achieve around 9/8 or 9/9 (as in 9dmg 9dly)...
(Yes Monk FA, CoF and RoWF stack for around 100% haste total, CoF is haste item, FA gloves are right click haste like a chanter haste, and RoWF is a song, which stacks with fbss, and chanter haste... which would eliminate the need for you to be buffed with haste, because of said items..)
Oh yeah i'm told that after the next big patch monks will get a huge fist dmg increase, i hit for 55's with fists right now, but the patch is supposed to make it so i hit for 60+'s... shrug it was just a rumor I heard, not sure if its exactly true. But who knows... :)

The haste part of warsong doesn't stack with enchanter haste...the other parts do, though

AC 30, +9 wis, and +9 int? Not to mention the great resist bonuses. This is going to be the pinacle of gloves for all casters (the haste will be nice for the grunts too. :))
Once again, this quest takes at least 2 full 55+ groups to complete, so the reward is fitting.

In the off hand, ratio is the only thing that counts. To date, the only monk equippable weapon I know that beats the ratio of the 9 16 Celestial Fists is the 17 28 Stave of Sheilding... although, the difference is so minute it's debatable whether it's worth the weight kick to use one. Either of these two options has a higher ratio than 14 26 monk fists.

I don't know where this whole 9/16 bs started, but it's not true. It goes from 14/28 (for a 50 monk, 14/26 for a 60 monk) to 14/16... it's haste, not a damage debuff.

It is amazing how people with no real clue can post with such certainty. The monk epic quest reward the "celestial fists" will cause the wearers fists to be dmg 9 delay 16 weapons. This has been tested, retested, verified and double verified by countless monks. It does not make them 14/16 it does not just uberhaste the normal fists. Monk's fists are SPECIAL CASE WEAPONS. Special coding is involved to determine their damage and delay, a simple clause in this coding makes it that if you are wearing celestial fists, your Dmg Delay is 9/16. End of story. SO next time you feel like correcting ignorant people, get a clue first.

Sylron is right. With the coding the celestial fists make it like you were useing 9/16 weapons, while really useing hand to hand skill. This doesnt involve the Haste effect of the fists at all (celestial tranquility) with the right clicked effect your hands are 9/13 weapons.

There are so many different items in the game that give alot of wis and int as it is. The haste and ac on the item would be wasted if the caster used the gaunts. AC is good for casters, don't get me wrong, but it makes a bigger difference on melee classes. Casters are trying not to be hit and if the raid goes the way it should, the tanks will tank and the casters cast.

This means about 150 people of 300000 have seen him die... Then think about your odds. If you aren't in the guild that everyone on your servers complains about as the spawn of satan, you will not see him go down.
Has about 500k hps btw

I dont think there is any use denying it. AC 30 (+5 more then Cobolt), excellant stat increases, and of course, HASTE. Not to mention the fact that ALL classes can use it. Extreamly nice gauntlets. These shall probably be the best gauntlets in game for a long time.

if your talking about the Vibrating Gauntlets of Infuse, these are nice gloves, but by the time u can get these you can easily have 200wis so the +20 wisdom wouldnt really have an effect, but on these gauntlets they add to pretty much every stat, which will really help in a lot of situations

You have to camp the king of dragons to get it. Okay mayber your uber guild attacks the dragon. They loose mostly, what everyone and a handful survive. This isn't going to happen to often especially when it takes so much out of 1 guild to even take him. Look at it as your grail if you must. Do I want them, yes. I want them like every other greedy player out there! Will I ever get them, probably not. I'd rather get a pair of gauntlets that gave me perm clarity instead of haste.

You have to camp the king of dragons to get it. Okay mayber your uber guild attacks the dragon. They loose mostly, what everyone and a handful survive. This isn't going to happen to often especially when it takes so much out of 1 guild to even take him. Look at it as your grail if you must. Do I want them, yes. Took him out the other day...I think we had 3 or 4 people die. Got this down to an art, obviously. (Course it helps to have all the server resets, we have gotten to kill him 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks, maybe more (I was only there for 4). Anyway, as stated above, these are great for most any class, all of our clerics would love to have them, and eventually...they will :)
Theres mana robes, or were those nerfed like the old manastone to not drop anymore?

Actually, if my memory serves me properly, there is one robe that has a permanent effect of Breeze-- that is, two or three mana per tick. However, this robe was a GM quest item, and thus is one-of-a-kind on all servers, and if you don't have one now, don't count on getting one. Sure would be nice, though.. *sigh* back to the drawing board.

I guess your all forgetting about the Mana Robe that is dropped by trakanon (sp?). with the effect of mana conversion..

Yes there are more hp regen items. Manna Robe is the only mana regen item worth a damm. Mana Stones only usefull on EQ proper. No planes use no use in Kunark no use in Velious. Modulation Rod is only a one shot deal and not very mana efficent for the Magican summoning them.

How can you say that warriors, monks, and rogues can solo past 10. My monk lvled to 31 solo. My rogue went solo all the way to 20. I havent played a warrior but my friend went mostly solo to 20. And as for hybrids, I can solo even mobs at 40 with a bard easily, yellows are a bit harder, and I'll solo reds as long as I know they dont cast spells and my songs stick.

They are for trash killing mostly. Not much better than the scimitar pet that hits for 140s and has one HP. Looks like a case of solo envy, remeber that the next time you snub a druid for a group.
