Gates of DiscordIf anyone is looking to farm this prior to leaving the mines- don't waste your time. I tried getting this on a new monk seeing as how the 10% haste would greatly benefit those early levels, and spent nearly 8 hours killing the mobs that drop it. I ended up killing-
Krenshin - 15 times
Overlord Gnikan - 12 times
Ratasaurus - 4 times
Rufus - 14 times
Silver - 3 times
Random rats to spawn Ratasaurus/Rufus - Roughly 500
Aaaaaand nothing. Either this item was removed, my rng is absolutely awful, or the drop rate for this is far too low to be worth grinding out this item before leaving the mines. I'm willing to believe any of these things- however, I cannot recommend anyone waste their time trying to get this purposely before leaving Gloomingdeep. If you wind up getting this during the tutorial, consider it a blessing- but your time is better spent doing anything else than trying to farm this.

I picked it up off of Krenshin's corpse ... his killer long gone and abandoned the item!

I haven't created a new chara in a LONG TIME! But last night my son and I decided to create some new chara and have some fun in MoG. As I went down the stairs, I saw Rufas and thought - kewl... a low lvl named. I killed him and looted the orb. Couldn't help to think the same think as Skorakiks post - wow... a 10% haste item and not even out of the tutorial... wow - EQ has gotten soft for newbies ;)
My son and I ended up killing him again as we passed by and he got the Spiritweaver Nexus. Of course - since I'm the sham and he's the Pally - I should have let him looted the orb and I should have looted the Nexus. But we are hoping that we can get one more of each so we can each have booth. Will see how that goes.

Also drops off of Sliver in the warrior hallway, and has been known to drop off of Queen Gloomfang.

I can confirm this drops off the named rat, Rufus, first time I killed him at level 2 it dropped for me :)

I got this off Overlord Gnikan in the Fortress.
It seems that pretty much all items can drop off all the Named (except the spider queen, who has not dropped anything worthwhile yet for me). All the higher level Kobolds (the Captains, and most of the Kobolds in the area with Ruga, appear to drop decent items also).

Also found it off Rufus level 4ish white rat that random spawns in all the positions with bats, rats down from the camp.
OMG I remember the days when Haste of any percent was considered uber
Sure makes several of the other low haste % items lose any value.
