Ruins of KunarkKilled the Shin Lord PH 15 times and didn't get a single shin lord spawn. Thought people exaggerated how tedious getting that guy was but if the sword is rare, bring a bunch of books... my initial plan was to EXP on those guys so it wouldn't be a total waste but getting the decayed armor off the tae ews for the SK epic took longer than expected and when I finally got to upper guk, everything conned grey/green so no real point anymore.
Sorry Joren Nobleblade but I'll be knocking on your door soon.

"Found in" shows Northern Felwithe, but it is actually found in Sothern Felwithe by "taking" it from Joren Nobleheart.

I can confirm this sword still drops from Joren Nobleheart . I went from level 25 to 37 camping the drop from the crazed goblins in Butcherblock, got tired went to Felwithe with my main and killed Joren Nobleheart . It is useless to try and camp the drops anymore. The sword is still useful though, as I went to Lower Guuk and the undead massacre was outstanding!

Killed Joren Nobleheart 5/2/16 on FV server with 85 Mage. Logged in on level 1 Pally and looted both Shiny Brass Shield and Ghoulbane, since Sword is No Trade now on FV server.

August 7th, 2013. Took two minutes, went to Felwithe. Joren Nobleheart was up in the magician guild. 81 SK. Dropped him quick and bam, owner of Ghoulbane.
SK lvl 57.
First, I decided to camp the Shin Lord.
During the 4 hours, I saw him only once and he dropped the Bracer. Then desappointed, I decided to go to Felthwith to find Joren Nobleheart.
I used the invis spell to cross very fast the Castle and get to the Magician guild. Joren is in the last room.
I fight him with a Cleric Merc. Jason is lvl 60, then was ytm. It was difficult to do him lot of damages, then fight was long. When he is about 15% , he started to run and then aggro the other guards which make fight longer. Dooming Darkness did not stunned him. Then I quickly zoned and went back. He was going back to his spot , healing himself - was already back to 50%. I succeed to stunned him this time with DD and finished him.
he dropped the GB and the Shield.
Really a quicker way to have the GB than the Lord camp.

Since SOE decided to take Unrest and turn it into a lvl 85 zone for a while, I decided to camp the Shin Lord for Ghoulbane. Been at it for 18 hrs now and have spawned the Shin Lord 14 times. With the exception of this last kill, he has dropped nothing but the bracer. I did get excited because I saw a sword in his hand and his loot table above only has the Ghoulbane listed as a weapon. Great disappointment when I went to loot him and found that he was wielding a Rusty Long Sword. So... Just a heads up to anyone going after this extremely rare drop, he does wield something different than Ghoulbane. Back to camping for me!
Ok... After another 7 hrs of spawning the Shin Lord and getting nowhere, I did some other reading and found a post concerning Joren Nobleheart in the South Felwithe Magician's Guild. So I went to see if it was true about him ALWAYS dropping Ghoulbane. I took my Shammy in and just mauled him down. Sure enough, Ghoulbane dropped with his shield! Now, after I had stopped laughing my **** off at the waste of time I spent on the Shin Lord, I brought my pally over and got the sword. By the time my pally got there, Joren had spawned AGAIN and had the sword in hand!
I should note, I wanted to follow through with the Pally quest to get the sword to begin with. But waiting for July 3rd for Sony to bring Unrest back to its normal level was not in my plans. I had already camped and gotten the other 3 parts for the quest. And since I will lose Ghoulbane doing the turn-ins for the epic, I will finish the quest to get the Ghoulbane anyways. :)
My advice, with the exception of the zone being changed for the moment, do the pally quest for the sword. Doesn't take long and is enjoyable.

Killed today with 62 pally ( me ) and boxed 55sk was still not what id call easy fight but did take him down on the first try not far off from 1.0 now just doin it to do it (and because picked up Book of scale for cheap in baz ) prob will never see 1.5 or 2.0 but it will be kinda cool to have anyway

haven't seen this posted yet. but as to the swords proc. it isn't as listed about. the proc now does 162-162. at least thats what the is says. hopefully as it says above 192 after 30 would be nice =)
I went of felwithe with my paladin (lvl 70) and my druid 2nd box (lvl 59). I beat him but only had 14% mana left on the druid. Druid has crap gear. paladin about 8khp buffed (not alot of AA)
I would think a lvl 55+ cleric, paladin and perhaps one other DPS would have no issue with him.
A few notes :
1. There was a guard beside him. This guard DID NOT AGRO. You can fight the paladin without worry.
2. He didn't LoH himself while I fought him..but he healed...alot. It's best to wait until you see "Joren Begins to cast a spell" then hit your bash or cast a nice high lvl stun. That will stop him.
3. He ran at low hp. Snare stuck.
4. He hits pretty fast. And not overly hard..but hits alot so his dps is pretty high.

Many moons ago (like 4 years) this was not NoDrop. I had it sitting on my druid when it got flagged as NoDrop. Can it be MQ'd or anything? Or should he just destroy it?
If it was not listed as "No Drop" or now as "No Trade" before a Nerf, then is should still be tradeable. Only items dropped after the patch typically include the change.

If you have the faction to get Inte's Blessing, you should be ablt to turn the blessing in, for MQ.
And ALL ghoulbanes are no drop. I had one on my druid when they were nerfed, and it became no drop.

Does Ghoulbane still drop off Shin Lord??
At lvl 68 I solo'd this guy, was easy.
Just heard from a friend that this sword also drops off Joren Nobleheart in Southern Felwithe. No faction hit.. He is also part of the enchanter epic yet drops it Every time, oh and the shiny brass shield.
So heading there later with some 65 friends to do some killing

It doesnt drop in WK -- the quest for it starts there.

The corrupted ghoulbane is mentioned in the SK epic dialogue. There is a quest that converts the ghoulbane to a corrupted version I assume is SK only. However, a link would be nice. I couldn't find it here.

Corrupted Ghoulbane has the same stats as the Ghoulbane, but is tagged as SHD only.
It's a part of the Shadowknight Epic, but of course is obsolete by the time you get it. This applies to the Epic itself too, of course.

Why is there no mention anywhere of the corrupted ghoulbane for the SK epic?
It mentions that the item is used in the Innoruk's Quest, in the quest section of the entry.
I have the heart, blade, and hilt. Tonight, with any luck, I will be getting the scroll. It has taken 3 days to get these items. First place I stopped was Unrest, and was unlucky, but I wasn't playing long. I spent the majority of my Valentine's Evening hunting the gobs in BB until the blade finally dropped. Went to Najena last night, and received it after about 5 hours (along with a level and a half.) From there, went back to unrest, and it dropped on the 3rd ghoul we fought.
So far, great quest, great item - Highly Reccomended.

Hey all, i created a Dorf Paly today, still lvl 1 after 6 hours, not one single ding, and i need only ONE MORE PIECE to get ghoulbane by quest! the thing i need is the scroll from the gobbos in HK. a guy's lvl 65 paly and 36 shamy helpd me.

Guess what i got the bane about a week and a half ago from a 41 pally on Ferona Vie and im level 4!!!!!! dont u just love that?!?!?1
Can i do this quest solo i am a lvl 40 pali and cnat find people to go with me to help.
My lvl 26 SK soloed this quest. She is a little twinked.... but she soloed it.
Yes you can solo the entire thing at 40. I did it at 32 with only a 31 pally helping, well we kind of did them together.
Whether its worth it depends on what you currently use, and whether you plan to go on for the epic.
