Of course these are better. It was stated above that we should go for the AC which to extent is true. What i mean is this......When you have an item that is AC 16 and no other stas and another item that gives AC 15 but also adds to ( count em up) 7 other stats as well, you obviously go for the runed protectors gaunts. The DW's effect of cancel magic is not even worth mentioning. Most pally's only bother looking at the AC and the RPG's clearly do you more justice than the DW
Shamans got your stats... go for ac. your deepwater is much better than this. im a warrior. but i think hybrids are getting the short end of the stick on velious armor... just my 2 cents. Oh i have a druid twink. thats why ill refer to myself as a druid also.
I shelved my deepwater gaunts after getting these.
Deepwater is AC 16, no stats, and an effect of cancel magic that takes 6 seconds to cast and can be interrupted. During that time the paladin just sits and watches the fight - he can't taunt, bash, stun, bash/slash, or heal. Generally in that 6 seconds the mob has been: stripped by the enchanter, malosied by the mage, snared by the druid, and slowed by the Shaman. So it's a crapshoot as to which one of them will be pissed when the gloves finally finish casting and one of those debuffs gets wiped...
Granted that the stats aren't THAT great, but the added wis and mana alone almost give enough mana for an extra stun at level 51. Personally I think that's more useful that one extra AC and an unused effect.
have you guys ever pulled? yeah normally a warrior or monk pull but what if you pulled? well DW guant's are great for that. pacify, then use dw guants to pull. get single pulls. great way to pull caster mobs. however add more ac then dw guant's. at 55 before i sold my dw ones they didn't even add 15 ac, these add over 15 ac to me...and i'm a human pally btw.
I definantly have to concur there. I persona;y don't like the DW taht much besides teh BP anyways. I think Valorium is superior. I'm a casting paladin and thes would help me alot if i could get my hands on them. Granted, it is only 2wis and 10 mana, but that can be the diff betwen sittin there doin nothing and interupting a CH from Vox...Think about that.

It won't, but if you land Force, the lvl 52 stun, it will push her, which will interrupt the cast, even thou the "stun" does nothing. Bash and slam push as well which is why they work.
While most of the mobs in Kael do heve the possibility of dropping quest armor pieces, it is far more likely to drop from the 55+ mobs, esp. near the arena.
