Xounii's Journal Page 1 drops from Xounii, and ONLY from her. It is not a random drop, and it does not drop from the 3 Primals; the Primals drop different journal pages.
Xounii is a shapeshifter with 5 different names and forms but they are all Xounii.
Look for these mob names roaming the Primal tunnels. She will shift from time to time as she roams.
a cavernous lifesipper
a cragbeast bonecruncher
a voracious beetle
Once engaged, she will change into an intermediate form and then her original form as she loses health, depending on how slowly you kill her.

No matter which of the 5 forms she's in when she dies, she will always drop Xounii's Journal Page 1.
Respawn time is about 1 hour 40 min (no placeholder).

Xounii Shifter is the way to go for this page. Seems she always drops this page, killed primals with no luck but this dropped it in the tunnels.

Tried to get this page last night.
First I soloed Reptile, no page 1, then 2 friend (necro and Rogue) helped me on Insect and Arachnid ... no page 1.
After my friends left I saw a cavernous lifesipper (whioch turns into Xounii Shifter) on track and killed it solo too. It did drop the page 1. :)
