man, i'd be hard pressed to turn this in to get any key...it kicks the crap out of my necklace of superiority. so this necklace would be necklace of even more superioritiness?
Once you reach the point where you can even get this, you will willingly turn this in to get to sleepers. Items drop in Sleepers Tomb that will benefit your entire guild and probably yourself personally.
And of course, you could always go back and get another one after you have your key and all of your other guildmates have their ST keys too. Klandicar is only a weekly spawn.
you know just because their major stats are above 200 doesnt mean they couldnt be higher and do more use...at lvl 34 i have 184str as a warrior and most of my equipment doesnt give str bonuses. as a tank i would like this cause it gives me everything i need and nothing i dont
This is not a flame. But this item does give you stuff you dont need. Int, wis, and mana to name three. But any way... This is an item that you would not keep for more than a week or two any way. If you look up the Primal and Priceless items that drop in Sleeper's Tomb, which this is a "quest item" to obtain a key for you will probably be willing to trade this in and go without ANY neck item to get those weapons. <grin> Good luck on obtaining this uber item only to use it to get even BETTER stuff for you and the guild that helped you to obtain it!
I may be wroung but do not even Melee types need INT or WIS for skill ups so that would just leave mana. I believe that unless someone does not want a item that all who are not lock out due to race or class should have equal chance at any item. But i know i seam to be in the minority with this idea.
Dexterity: Dexterity affects how quickly you learn weapon skills, and how often weapons will do their special attack. This is another very important stat for Warriors. Most warrior classes already have an innately high dexterity. Most high level weapons have special abilities which help to deal more damage during combat. Dexterity also affects how often Warriors deliver critical or crippling blows. As a result of this a high dex is something which is always handy. There are also a number of items and buffs in the game which help to increase your overall dexterity. Putting bonus points into dexterity is a very viable choice.
That is from eq.crgaming.com/creationguides/Warrior.asp and while that site may not be the most up to date one it is based in fact. There was also a note in the developer's corner about this but I could not find it. Skill ups are based on what type of skill is being used. If you are jewelcrafting it is based on the higher of your intelligence or your wisdom. If you are smithing it based on your strength. Melee skills are based on dexterity for the most part. I would hardly think that some one would say "Well, I guess we need to let the warrior have this item so he can up he jewelcrafting skill!" lol.
heh but INT is needed if a warrior(or anyone for that matter) wants to raise his skills fast for tradeskills, swimming, languages, etc. Of course, priests or WIS based hybrids use WIS for the skill ups. But anyways, all stats have a distinct purpose, so why not try to get them all up? After, of course, your most important stats are high or maxed out. Anyways...just fyi i guess
Concerning some of the stuff I've seen here that drops in Sleeper's Tomb.... it might actually be worth it. Besides, I bet most of the people who gets there already have 200+ in their major stats, so they dont really need this item :p
The thing that makes this item great is not the stats... its the resists. At the level you would be able to get this, sure your stats will be plenty high but resists are the factor that make or break you. This is all moot though becaue a) your guild wouldn't award this to you to wear, it would be for ST keys of course and b) you'd be better off with a primal... hehe.
