Found these sharks at location +770, -3135 in OoT. There was at least 6 to 7 of them swimming around. South of druid ring from Cyclops Island.
The quest is active again for the 10th anniversary. The OOT zone was revamped since the original quest, and for a while there was a problem because the sharks and reef sharks were gone. But now there's "an old shark" that drops the collector's tooth. I got one at +1660, -4364.
Simple question but does this still drop? Or was it there for only that Fifth Anniversary Scavenger Hunt?

From my experiences and talking to others, it seems that the sharks around the islands in the center of the zone (near the succor point) drop this commonly. 1005 while I was there, but that was probably RNG luck and not the actual drop rate.
I found a pile of 5 sharks here and 4 of the 5 had the collectors tooth on them. loc was about neg940 pos1810 good luck to you all.

I camped the shark in the water at East FreePort docks for an hour and no drop. He's a 2-3 minute spawn, but no luck. Going now to try OoT :)

I'd expect OOT to be a lot safer bet than the other zones listed here.
