#Dalarek, Posted: Mar 15 2004 at 9:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'd absolutely love if they took warrior off of this weapon.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 14 2004 at 9:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dont want no flames but this is designed for monks definetly. This is like the most ubah 2hb out there and monks would definetly want this more than any other 2hb. So GIVE it to them hehe

I'm pretty sure thats his point, the weapon was dropped from a higher delay to a lower one, consequently the damage bonus is lower.
upgraded

Think this was upgraded to 41 damage.
Why the DoT?
# Mar 12 2004 at 7:09 PM Rating: Default
A 230 point DoT makes this a much worse weapon IMO. It's about the same damage of a single swing with this weapon and breaks mez. The only person you want with a DoTting weapon is the MT and since Burning Acid has no counters and little damage it isn't enough aggro to put in his hands. Might be OK for a beastlord to solo with, though.

The dot on the weapon isn't really an issue as far as mez is concerned,if your using it on a Boss Type Mob then your not typically going to be mezzing that since, well most are not mezzable=P

On trash clears and such you assist and kill and things die in 30 secodns before the dot even goes off, assuming it gets through with out a resist.

The downside of course,is that it takes up one of the Mobs Debuff slots, and if you have enough melee with doT weapons it could prevent actual damaging DoT's from say necros, getting through.

Many Many PoP guilds went through the expansion with a great majority of their melee equipped with Gen.Druav Swords becasue they were easy to come buy and provided respectable DPS for 2 hand wielders, this wep is no differnt.

not to mention the fact that if you hit a mob youre going to break the mez! its a three tick dot as long as everyone knows there class you shouldnt be hitting a mob thats going to be mezzed. I assume this weapon requires ppl to at least have figured out about mezzes. its a good proc specially for the support melee, Wouldnt give it to a mt though cause its really not enough aggro.

Its perfect for a monk. When a monk jumps on a mob, mez time is over, its kill time.
Not sure about the agro it might generate.

If it don't give too much aggro to the monk, its really a fine weapon.
