What's with the recommended levels
# Oct 01 2003 at 2:21 PM Rating: Excellent
I like the fact that this stuff is no drop but it really bugs me that most of the good stuff has recommended levels on it. If you manage to scrape together the needed AP's to get the item then you should be able to enjoy it. It's not like you can farm this stuff and sell it off or anything.

I agree with koriek and Twinkzilla, to have this many point's in LDoN you'll be high enough to use it. Also SoE work it out the you don't have 442 in one single LDoN but 442 in all 5, they are trying to make you play all 5 instead of the contant BB and NRO.
Koriek is completely correct about the two aug slots, slot 2&3 is VERY nice to have on one item, all the decent augs are one of these two slots. Yes there are good ones for any slot, but they are identical to far cheaper ones that are slot 2 or 3 specific.

I don't see much problem with it. My main is 57 and gets about 19-22 for a normal adventure. My alt, at 33, gets 2. I'd have to do 10 dungeons with him to get the amout I get for 1 with my main. With the exp the way it is, but the time I DID 10 dungeons I'd be 4-5 levels higher. Ignore the recomended levels, by the time you have enough AP to get these items you'll be close enough so that even if you aren't at the reccomended level, you'll be close enough to enjoy 99% of the benefits.

They're good because of the augmentable capabilities. It's harder to recognize these things, but slot 2 and 3 items have very good options.

I completely agree.

I sometimes like to provide myself with voluntary challenges for certain games in order to make them more difficult. I wanted to be a level 20 and do nothing but LDoN adventures and get some great equipment for my level in the process. Then I learned of recommended levels on most (if not all) of the better items... the idea sort of disappeared afterwards.
